• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Got to ride again today!

It's nice to see folks getting the chance to ride a little at this time of year. On Saturday it was a whopping 4 degrees Celsius here so I went for a short, one-hour ride. My last ride was at the end of November so this felt great. And the forecast for this coming weekend looks like riding...

Don't leave you frunk open when stopped.

When I'm in a parking lot and my frunk is open that's when people stop to talk to me about my spyder. My guess is that since my frunk is open I look like I have a few moments to spare. In some parts leaving a car hood open is a sign that help is needed. In my motorcycle course here in Ontario...

Strange wave from another biker today.

Whenever I get the two-fingers-in-a-V-sign wave I wave back with three fingers. You know. Because three wheels.

BRP Spyder & Polaris SlingShot / Side by Side - Mike Mas

I saw a black Slingshot on the 407 in Burlington, Ontario today. It was absolutely gorgeous and I'd get one if I wasn't so busy riding my spyder. :) The license plate was from Georgia, a fair schlep from Ontario.

BRP Spyder & Polaris SlingShot / Side by Side - Mike Mas

Very well written write up. I absolutely love the colour of your slingshot! I saw my first one near Cambridge, Ontario a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked fantastic. :)

    BRP belt tensioner

The vibrations are tolerable for a few seconds, but beyond that they're annoying. On my F3 they can be felt a little below 4000RPM in all gears. I find myself switching gears to avoid staying at those RPMs. I'm hoping to go for a 3-day ride in late September. I hope we can get our hands on this...

Great Compliment on my Spyder Yesterday

It's nice to get these sort of comments. I was riding yesterday when someone in a passing car yelled out "Nice bike dude!" with a friendly wave. :doorag:

I did a demo ride in early May and got my $1000 rebate email less than a week later. Dealer was happy to honour it.

    Windshield thread for vertically challenged

I have the Route 129 on my F3 but at 5'10 I'm a little taller than your wife. :) When on the highway I do get a fair bit of buffeting from the neck on up, so my guess is that she'll feel a little bit of buffeting around her head.

    Nolan Helmets

I, too, us the Nolan 43E Trilogy with the pull down shades. And I agree with the others: shield up = lots of bugs in the face PROS Shades fit over my glasses Shades are easy to pull down and up Great side visibility CONS When the sun is low in the sky I wish the shades were a bit darker The...

    Looking to buy - some advice please . . . .

Four owners within 800 miles would deter me from buying it. Some people buy these and then realize they don't like it, but that would explain only one owner. :dontknow: Just my two pence.
