• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP belt tensioner

For anyone with a SmoothSpyder belt tensioner............how many miles have you ridden before having to replace the bearings for the roller?

SMOOTHSPYDER F3T tensioner

I just installed mine yesterday. I had my spyder up to :yikes::yikes:mph, the vibration is GONE. I'm a happy camper. Easy install too. D.

How bad were the vibrations before the tensioner? Were they more prevalent at certain speeds?
The vibrations are tolerable for a few seconds, but beyond that they're annoying. On my F3 they can be felt a little below 4000RPM in all gears. I find myself switching gears to avoid staying at those RPMs.

I'm hoping to go for a 3-day ride in late September. I hope we can get our hands on this by then.

Having recently gone from the 2015 RT Limited to the 2016 F3T, the belt vibration is quit a bit more on the F3T. I'll be buying one of these.

My word

BRP should make the kit available as a RECALL, you can't tell me that they didn't know of the condition!!! design engineering flaw
Really a recall for a little discomfort between 65 and 70 miles per hour! (Or wherever you feel it) Good grief! I am amazed that privileged people like us will complain about anything! Look around the world and count you blessings! The vibration does nothing harmful to you or your Spyder! Come on really:lecturef_smilie:!

:banghead: This sure sounds like a common issue for us F3 owners. :banghead:

I'm wondering if it gets more noticeable as you accumulate miles and the belt breaks in and stretches a bit? I am very sensitive to annoyances. My wife says I live life annoyed. However, in the first few hundred miles I have on my machine, I have no belt vibration. (Going to knock wood now...)

The vibration seems to be getting worse on my 2015 F3-S. I picked it up new a little over a week ago. Within 100 miles I started to notice it I now have almost 1300 miles and it is a lot worse now.

Got it. Well, it looks as though the problem will show up for me at the same time as the solution. I can't complain too much about that... :)
