• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    North to alaska 2018

I agree about the time involved. I did the 2 routes I have based only on miles per day between overnight stops. One was based on about 400 miles a day going to Tok, Alaska and over the top of the world hwy and return south. That showed 14 days of riding every day which wouldn't allow for time...

    North to alaska 2018

Alaska for 2018 This sounds great. Some of us in and around The Dalles, Oregon are making plans to go also. I was looking at leaving about June 15 or around that time. I have worked up a couple of routes based on what the group did a couple of years ago. The Alaska Milepost magazine is a...

    Bluetooth Iphone to audio system

I use a BT headphone that hangs on my neck. The ear buds fit nicely inside the helmet. All of my music is loaded on the iphone so I still get my calls as well as listen to my favorite songs. I usually leave the phone plugged into power in the trunk with glympse turned on so the wife knows where...

Five photo one paragraph ride report

Love those heated grips. With those and rain gear just about anytime is the time to ride. Last year on our trip to Big Sur we had one very wet day. I wrang my gloves out with water running from them like under a faucet and the heated grips dried them 3 different times. What a ball that trip was...

Red Rock Spyder Rally (7th Annual Western Region Spyder Rally) St George UT (9/26-29)

Coming this year! All registered. Last year heart by pass stuff kept me from making it but that's all taken care of and looking forward to the riding.

Does ECO Mode do anything besides indicate shift points?

I agree. This is the method I use as well. Seldom look at the arrow but usually listen to the engine and don't watch the rpm meter at all. I do like the slight gas savings as it adds up after a few fill ups. It may be a little sluggish off the line but still plenty fast for me. Sent from my...

    Bumpskid

Pretty sure my bumpskid saved the front of my spyder yesterday. Car in front of me on the fwy kicked up large chunk of a blow out and I couldn't do anything to avoid it. Luckily it was almost back down to the pavement when I hit it. Pretty good jolt but the bike kept going and later when I could...

    Anyone have this issue?

I have had a similar problem with my reflective coat. The glare made my Garmin GPS hard to see on a sunny day. I mounted a shade over the gps and it made a huge difference

    Red Rocks Rally

Those sound like great rides. We are registered also and will be making a couple of different loops to and from the rally. Sure glad for the rally rates since without it they are so much higher.

Whats the best way to Mount a Camera on a RT

I used to have mine mounted behind the windshield but with the bugs here in the northwest, had a lot of issues with clarity. Now I just use one of the gopro flat stickies on the side mirror and get very clear videos. Also I can keep the camera plugged into power so no battery issues. Usually get...

    Drive belt and gravel roads.

Several of us got stuck driving on about a 5 mile stretch of fresh gravel and oil road this summer. Due to the heavy traffic we were going about 30 mph or so. I could hear several rocks making terrible noises as I drove. Even had to go by the hot oil rig as it was laying down the fresh stuff...

    First Service cost

The dealer I've been using since I bought the spyder there charged me about 350 for the first service and 500 for the second. I also had a rear tire replaced on the 2nd service and the total was just under 900. Really like the mechanic they have but the cost is outrageous. Not a lot to choose...

Spyders in the Redwoods raffle ??????

I only bought one ticket and received an email asking if I wanted the stub mailed to me or would a picture of it do and would I provide a contact number. I went with the picture of the stub along with my number. They promptly sent me a picture of the ticket I had purchased. It looked like it was...
