• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 headlight adjustment

Just installed LED bulbs in my wife's 2019 F3-T and was trying to adjust them. Heads up, the cable actuated adjuster pictured earlier in this thread adjust the lights horizontally only. To adjust each light vertically you'll need to take a couple of panels off and use a ball end hex with an...

    Ryker gas filler cover

That could be an excellent solution, do you know if it has a rubber seal under the lip?

    Ryker gas filler cover

Meaning don't spray it with a hose to wash it?

    Questions about Ryker

Personally, I think the sway bar will have a bigger effect that the shocks but I plan to do both. Already ordered the BajaRon bar, will like to do the M2 or Elka shocks next year. I noticed you have the BRP Sport Windscreen, how do you like it?

    Ryker gas filler cover

I was going to create a post on the gas filler design so I'm glad this came up. If you take a look at the design of the tank inlet and lid you'll see that not only is there no seal, but if you were to spray water on the bike to wash it I can't see how quite a bit of water won't make it's way...

Other brands verses the O.e.m. Tires from BRP?

My experience matches the above post almost exactly. We got abouit 6,000 on the OEM Kenda and it was done. The Kumho Ecsta AST has been on for about 1,000 miles now and the feel is noticeably better. Can't speak to mileage but I believe all the '13s got the soft Kenda. BTW, I believe the Kumho...

What Should CanAm Have made Stock ?

Amen to that! If BMW and KTM can do it on their bikes certainly BRP can do it. The overly restrictive nanny is why I won't own one for my own ride at present.

    regular or premium?

...and your catalytic converter will be ruined from the lead in avgas.

    front tyre pressure?

Good point, it DOES matter whether you have 14" or 15" wheels so we should each specify, though the reader can probably tell if the year of the Spyder is mentioned. On our '14 ST-S I've found 20-22 lbs feels best for the fronts, and 28 in the rear. I prefer a bit more responsive steering, and...

Who is actually using a 165/55 R15 car tire? What brand & where to get them?

Thought I'd revive this thread since it's been a while. Anyone found a suitable replacement in this size?

    NANNY EXPERIENCES

Same thing whenever I ride my wife's ST-S. I'm still riding on two wheels and would have switched to a Spyder if the nanny was somehow adjustable like virtually every other vehicle made with such computerized safety controls. I'm sure BRP is very liability conscious, but it is also costing them...

    I got Nanny'd

Of course not, my apologies for that inference. I have found nothing online, nothing from anyone in person either. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that I haven't found anything yet. Do you know of some way to change nanny settings DrewNJ, or are you just hassling me?

    I got Nanny'd

No, but I would be all over any sort of hack to reduce the nanny's thresholds!! I have been surfing all over the Internet trying to find something, can't find a thing. BRP has the computer system locked up tight.

    Oregon Dealers

Is ProCaliber Longview no longer a Spyder dealer? That is the home of Shawn Smoak, an outstanding Spyder tech. We bought my wife's 2014 ST-S there earlier this year and I no longer see Can-Am listed on their web site... www.procaliberlongview.com Anyone know what happened?

    Temporarily Disable VSS?

Indeed, the RS-S for 2014 got "retuned" VSS. I had a very brief test ride on one and the difference was marginal at best -- I wasn't even sure I could tell a difference. I'll repeat my recommendation from earlier in this thread, BRP should provide several rider-selectable settings just like BMW...

    spyder ST headlights

IIRC the owners manual calls for removal of the instrument cluster to access the headlight bulbs. Comes out pretty easy, not a big deal.

What kind of mileage are the ST's getting?

New 2014 ST-S with just over 1,000 miles now, our results are consistent with most others: 30 mpg overall with 27-28 when hammering and 32 when doing freeway-only at below 70 mph.

    Heat issue

I just did exactly the same thing, installed a BajaRon bar and left off the two bottom panels. It's still too cold here to tell, and we have a 2014, but omitting those bottom panels sure makes sense to me, and sure will make oil changes easier!

    Platinum or Gold Dealers?

Steve, Very good to see someone from BRP here! I just purchased an ST-S for my wife and would like to provide some detailed feedback to BRP. What is the best destination for that sort of communication where it would get viewed by the folks that make the strategic product decisions?

    ST "tank bag" solution?

Thanks, that may be just the solution we're looking for.
