• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

X-grip versus Quadlock... what is better

I use the X-Grip. I use the thin plastic phone covers and notch out the edges of the cover with a dremel sanding drum where the rubber pads seat against the phone. It can't slide up or down.

Idler pulley has wear marks at 300 miles - it's coming off!

I would check the frame bar directly above where the idler was. There is not much space between the idler and that bar under full suspension squat when hitting bumps, and the fact that you only noticed it after riding double. Something made those marks.

2019 Can-am spyder RT limited belt tensioner position?

The bottom mount worked well for 85% on the RT's, the other 15% would still have some residual vibration which the top mount would eliminate. The bottom mount didn't work too well on the on the earlier F3's with the larger rear sprocket, but the top mount eliminated 95-100% of the vibes so I...

    clutch-less shift

My GS sm5 with the cable throttle was like butter shifting clutch-less, my F3S with the fly-by-wire throttle is not as easy for me to get perfect every time. The transmissions seem bullet proof, but with the front sprocket/spline issues some are experiencing I just feel better with some cushion...

Motorcycle accidents - Why we're not always seen

Macular Degeneration could be one reason a driver looks right at you but doesn't see you. It affects the central focal vision in the direct line of sight, meaning there may be black hole or greatly reduced vision right in the center of where your looking.

These things make dreams come true...

That is fantastic! Thanks for sharing your inspiring story and pics, your smile tells it all. The Spyder and Ryker have enabled many to get into the wind that wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise.

    GENERAL ALTIMAX REAR TIRE

I got 9500 miles out of the Kenda and 23,500 from the General Altimax with 28 PSI, doing some burnouts along the way. Road surface makes a big difference on longevity if your doing any burnouts, most of my travels and burnouts were on smooth roads. I tried 22 PSI on the General, but it felt...

    Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all, so happy and thankful for everything. Our best wishes for all of those that are not so fortunate and have been affected with the storms and fires, and thank you to all the Armed Services that are protecting us and can't be home with their families at this time.

Balancing beads Yes or No in the rear tire?

I've used the beads for years with good results, as long as you don't get any tire bead lube or moisture inside. The Centramatic balancers work even better to me, and take the other issues out of the equation. The Ryker will have to use beads.

    Positive comments about Spyders

I still have my 08 Premier Edition GS with 53,000, only replaced the DPS and an $12 oil sender. Also a 15 F3S with 34,000 miles. Neither have been to the dealer for anything, knock on wood. I feel positive but fortunate also.
