• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Chapter of life

I have worked since I was 15 years old and Last week I turned in my 2 week notice. For the last 25 years as a traveling construction superintendent I have been to every state except 2 and have worked in 38 of them. Some times I have stayed on a site for a year sometimes only weeks but have had a chance to explore this great country of ours . Now I'm looking forward to returning to some of my favorite places and touring them on our Spyders. Our first big ride this spring will be Hwy. 20 coast to coast. I have done about half of it but this time we will start in Newport Or and end in Boston, My love of adventure started by listening to my Dads stories of his adventure on his Harley traveling to all the lower 48 in 1937-38. My lovely bride for the last 44 years loves riding and touring as much as I do. We have made some great rydes on our spyders , but it always seemed to be short of time and could never just stop and spend several days or a week in a spot. but that is going to change. At 68 I have realized it's time to really stop and smell the roses. When I turned in my notice it was really hard to turn down a 6 figure salary but I had thought long and hard about this and after my mentor had passed away last month at 92 he always chided me for telling him maybe I'll do it next year. So I guess my wife and I will go make a bunch on new memories. I may even try writing a travel blog.

Enjoy your new adventures. As you get acclimated to the new lifestyle, I hope you find what I did. That is, not enough time to even think about work. Just too darn much to do and life to live. Congrats and enjoy....... Jim

We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time!
Life has an expiration date, do it while your still able and feel good.

New Chapter

:agree: Enjoy your NEW Chapter of Life. Slow down a little and See the Roses of Life.

Enjoy your new job - retirement. I turn 62 in July 2021 and I am calling it quits then. My employer will pay my health insurance until 65. I think a lot about how to make the numbers work but I’ll figure it out.

Good on yer! You will find that you won't have time to go to work and you'll wonder how you ever did!

Stop in PA on your way to Boston and we'll share a wee dram.

That's a cool sounding trip, live 10 houses off of Rt 20 in Ohio. You need to blog or something so we who still have to work can follow.:2thumbs:
