• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ride-on tire sealant

No... you do not pull the existing weights off. Ride-On balanced my tires when the Service Dept. couldn't. I highly recommend it.

    New spyder owner-Very Disappointed!!!

Why would you assume there was no test drive? When I bought my 3rd RT-L, I drove it over 100 miles to get home... and then put another 1000 miles on it within the week... and no problems. Until just over 1200 miles... when the left front tire began to shake. I brought it back to my dealer and...

What type of gas does everyone use

93 octane but I'm going to try some non-ethanol on my next fill up. Getting 35 mpg on my '14 RT-L with mostly Interstate miles.

SENA 20S units intermittently dropping streaming audio

I dont think there's anything I can add that others haven't already said except that make sure your wired connections are good. Pairing devices seems to be an art form. Throw in another manufacters headset into the mix and it becomes more challenging. Good luck.

    Phil's 2014 (neww) DARTH Mods

Stunning! I'm a huge fan of LEDs and your theme rocks! Of course, my avatar doesn't really care for it though. :doorag:

First long ride with the wife,.......seat has got to go!

A place in Slidell sells gel pads for motorcycles and I'll try that out too...but for me, it's more about riding position. I could stand to be 2-3 inches further back. That's why I'm leaning toward the Ultimate seat.

    Finding a good Spyder mechanic

we are fortunate to have a Can Am Certified Master tech in Hattieburg but I usually still get a second opinion. This forum is helpful for that! :2thumbs:

1st review of 2014 RT Limited

This. when I started with my first Spyder, I took curves painfully slow. Now I zip through them without little regard (but within reason of course... Being aware I'm not on a crotch-rocket). point is, you'll become more comfortable with it in time. congrats!

    Another RPM question

I'm going to try some non-ethanol gas on my next tank. Also, I know keeping track of it on every fill up helps me to be more cognizant of driving habits.

    Another RPM question

+1!!! You anit lyin'! Having owned an '11 and a '13, the first thing I do when I get off my '14 is try to mash down that button... only to be disappointed when it doesn't go anywhere. /rant I shift by sound too... don't really look down at the arrows much, like you said... too distracting...

Looking for suggestions of what communication device to purchase.

I have a Sena 20s... and I LOVE it. A bit on the pricey side but of all the BT units I researched, this one paired nicest with the iphone and did everything I needed it to do. There's a LOT of functions with the 20s... so be prepared to read and experiment. With the BT dongle, I can hook up...

    Another RPM question

I've yet to hit 40 mpg and to say I'm not an aggressive drive is an understatement. Do you use the Eco-Assist? I'm beginning to have my doubts about it's function. Or maybe it's just this South Louisiana heat evaporating my gas.

    Another RPM question

I'm not sure that you're doing anything wrong. I've noticed a significant drop in MPG when I increase my cruising speed to 75 mph instead of 70. Also, how many miles are on the Spyder? What kind of gas are you using? Are you using the eco-assist? I've got about 3K miles on my '14 RT-L...

First long ride with the wife,.......seat has got to go!

I posted a similar experience and I think I'm leaning toward the Ultimate Seat (tallboy). Russell Day Long seats looked pretty good too and I haven't found anyone to say something bad about them.

    Punctured belt

Thanks for replying. After I took the rock out, I took it around town (about 15 miles) going from 0-60mph. No change in the hole yet.

    Punctured belt

*sigh* I caught a rock in the belt and it punctured. Sprockets are fine, no damage there. I was able to remove the rock. My dealer has ordered me a new belt but what do ya'll think...is this ok to drive on for another 100 miles?
