• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Laughlin River Run 2015

I was there in my booth. We only had a handful of Spyder riders stop by the booth. Very Harley dominated event, always has been but seems like fewer Spyders and metric bikes this year. Matt

Any one with Order Delays at Kewl Metal

Thanks Jim. I really wish we could do a better job responding to everyone. My crew is awesome and I stand behind them 100%, but honestly, they can not keep up in spring time and especially with Hilda out. Brandon will be back next week so that will help. We have some new help on board so we...

Any one with Order Delays at Kewl Metal

I was referring to the RT brackets. The RS brackets are single link and still are. The RS bracket link is 2 inches long, so even at only 100 ft-lbs of torque on the 1/2 inch bolt, it takes 600 lbs force on the peg to break it loose. If you use a star washer and loc-tite and torque it to 100...

Any one with Order Delays at Kewl Metal

You are never charged until your order actually ships. I know you guys dont want to hear it but my suppliers lie to me about delivery times all the time. We only pass on the best info we have. Some of my suppliers answer there phones less that we do!!! I admit we can not keep up with the...

Any one with Order Delays at Kewl Metal

Bone Crusher, I agree with you. The story of how they got that way is a long one but the design intent was for only 1 link to be used at a time.. The ones that are shipping now have been updated and have a 2 bolt locking link. and are stiffer and have less vibration. Matt

My Spyder RT has a new riding buddy

Its an awesome bike. 160 HP, smooth as silk, incredible handling, the trunk and bags are quick release and the bike looks great without them, every electronic gizmo, electronically adjustable suspension, both pre-load and damping, front and rear. You just need to go take a demo ride to see if...

Off to the Chromium Shop !!!

Its a BIG pain. The handle bars are a HUGE job: The right side kick panel involves the brake master cylinder, which if you get air in it, is a 6 hour bleed job, by the book. Supposedly it can be done without pulling the plunger out, but It didn't work out that way for me. Kewlmetal is...

Off to the Chromium Shop !!!

Well its all back together. I put the plunger back in half way and filled the reservoir with brake fluid till it poured out down below. Then I pushed the plunger all the way in, then I bled out the 2 banjo bolts. Brake pedal is firm and no error codes. I will keep my fingers crossed for the...

Off to the Chromium Shop !!!

Arrrgh...now I have a puddle of brake fluid on my lift. The good news is, once you pull the plunger out that far (accidentally the first time) you might as well pull it out all the way and then the kick panel comes right off. Now the re-assembly will be easy. Then for the brake...
