• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I just rode a 2021 RT at a Demo Day event a couple weeks ago. It did have a whine like described above. If I had one I'm sure I would get used to it. It may just take some miles for the belt to wear in.

    First oil change

    I changed the oil in my 2019 Ryker at 1500 miles. Oil looked fine. I also have a 2020 Zong Shen (CSC) tt250. I changed the oil at 100 miles because of the dirt fear and had it analyzed. The oil was still clean and could have went farther.

    I use Hotwired heated gear from Cycle Gear. I use 12 volt jacket liner and gloves. I do not feel “tied down” to the bike when I use them. The wires slide apart if you forget to unplug them. Expensive? Once you use heated gear you’ll wonder why you didn’t get it sooner.

    Hard to believe your 10W40 Amsoil shears down to a 20W. I have tested it at 9,600 miles and it was still a 40W.

    I ran Mobil 1 4T for 8,600 miles and it was okay but the viscosity was a little lower.
