• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Turn signal indicator

I agree .... Pretty lame that BRP has this feature. Tiny little blinker indicator on the left side. Give me a break. Harley has had separate switches for Left and Right indicators for over 2 decades. Self canceling as well. So much for the American Iron guys. Yeah, I have one of those as...

    New Corbin Seat

That's all and good, but ... Moving me back 2-3 inches would suit "my friends" well, but the bars would be too far forward now. I think the bars are too high now, too ... but, they need to clear the tank. I guess there is no free lunch .... sit closer to the bars puts your package near the...

    Battery Location ... ?

Thanx. I tho't it was under there some where. Now I understand about the push pins and where to locate the battery. Appreciate you response, SPYD3R

    Battery Location ... ?

Thumbed thru the manual looking for battery location on my F3, but didn't find it. Manual seems to lack an index. I figure it must be "up front", but looking in there I don't see how that would be accessed. Could someone tell me where the battery is located and how to access it? I want to...

    New Corbin Seat

If the Corbin moves one back a bit, that would be nice. I've noticed with the stock seat that I am nearly "on the tank" when sitting on it. And, this puts some unwanted stress on your you know whats. Moving back a bit would work for me. Nice looking saddle.

    Shorter-reach bars

Seems complicated .... I've only couple hundred miles on the F3S, but the bars are too tall for me and I'm 6'2". And, I've had many bikes. Several I've had to have risers added ... some, I've had a machinist make me some custom riser / pull back deals. All worked well. I must say that the...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

Thanx, Pete ... yeah, nothings easy for me and my Harbor Freight tools. But, I got it done. Looks great, feels great, too. Also, installed the rear grab bar bungee buttons. That went without a hitch. So ... I've got about 250 miles on this Hot Rod and installed the F4 windscreen, the grip...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

So ... removed the entire left side foot peg assembly. Put it in a vice and cut thru the "ear piece" of the peg housing near the bolt. Popped the piece off and pushed out the stripped bushing with the SS bolt. I've reinstalled the peg mount and attached the RIP board. What a PITA ! But...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

I just spoke to someone here on the phone that had the same/same problem with a bolt being stripped. He said he had to remove the entire foot peg assembly from the bike and cut thru the peg then the bushing/bolt came out. Of course, he now no longer has a foot peg for the right side. Mine's...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

Now What ... ?? Well, got the right side of the bike hooked up. A bit of trial and error, but went fine. But ......... on the left side, heated the front bolt on the peg and it came off (just as the other side) without much pressure. Then heated the rear bolt .... started coming out then...

That's what I'm looking for ! I'll give that a try. BTW, I got hold of it pretty well and pushed ... nada. I'll give your method a try and respond back. Thanx, man !

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

If it rains today, I may attempt this project again. Maybe use a dowel to push the brass bushing back out. Seems pretty well seated in there. Otherwise, I'll get hold of Jacob or Lamont on Monday. Surprised no one here has installed these guys themselves.

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

Yeah, I've watched this vid a dozen times ... before and after purchase ... and, twice today. The brass bushing has 2 "ears" extending beyond the rubber deals. One can't just push with your finger to get them to move distally or anteriorly. It's in there very tight. Perhaps the rubbers are...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

Thank, Pete ... but, unfortunately, the "ears" on the brass bushing are on both ends. I tried to push it out with an allen wrench. No dice. Tried to use a screw driver to remove the rubber grommet, too. Did not happen. I don't want to screw up the rubber isolation grommets ... and, I'm...

    Lamonster RIP Boards ...

Got my RIP boards last week. Opened them today, but no instructions. Went to Lamont's site and he has a vid, but is not thorough enough for a non-wrench such as myself. Soooo .... if anyone's installed these guys ... see if you can help me out. Lamont's place isn't open until Monday, and I'm...

Installed an F4 windshield on F3/S, now getting exhaust fumes - anyone got a spare F3 Touring muffler?

My F4 arrived yesterday ... 9/15/16 ... installed it's just about 1" above the cowl, maybe less. Riding it up and down my driveway yesterday at 15-20 mph in the lowest position did give me some exhaust smell that I posted about. Today, I had a Shoei full face on, the 28" windscreen in the...

    It's in the garage ...

Having some fun here ... ! So, after lunch, I removed the seats and installed the Ultimate backrest. A tiny bit of angst in replacing the rider saddle ... seems no one really designs saddles to be easily removed and replaced. Dunno why. Anyway, the install was all good. Decided to take...

    It's in the garage ...

Installed ... Got home a bit early, so decided to see how hard it would be to install the 28" tinted F4 windscreen. Read the directions a couple times and dug in. Not too bad. Pretty much straight forward after I found that I needed to stretch the front mounting bracket a bit to get it in...

    It's in the garage ...

You may .... I typically wear a yellow helmet on the motorcycles. Both the F6 and the HD have intense highly visible yellow running / fog lights, too. I'm kinda hard to miss .... hopefully. Plan on riding the F3 Friday afternoon and this weekend. And, hope to get the VIN verified soon, too.
