• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A Good Luck Bell?

Anyone know about a good luck bell you're supposed to have hanging on your bike somewhere? I stopped by my local dealer yesterday for their Thursday Hot Dog night, and the local area Gold Wing club was there, and they each had a small bell mounted low on their bikes. A few tried to explain...

    RT Turn Signal Switch Replacement

Seems kinda silly that the technical challenges to engineer a properly and eloquently functioning turn signal switch are so elusive to BRP, yet they seem to do pretty well with VSS / ABS / TC and all the myriad of other highly complicated systems in the Spyder...... The perception that a poor...

    Removal of the trailer hitch

Once you pull the long bolt out, the hitch will be free to be pulled rearward and off the axle supports - but it will probably be hard to pull. BE VERY CAREFUL of the cabling and wiring on the right side of the axle so the hitch frame doesn't hook any of the cables/wires as you pull...

Hi Bob, Installation of the XM module and antenna was pretty simple, but did require the removal of the LH Middle Side Panel (where you check oil), LH Wind Deflector, LH Mirror, LH Service Panel, LH Top Side Panel, LH Rear Side Panel, Rear Panel (horseshoe shaped panel that wraps around rear...

    Installed XM - Long Overdue!

Well, I finally gave in and took the plunge. Bought the XM kit from Motor City Powersports (from their Ebay listing). They accepted my $350 bid... was pleased with that price (and they have more to sell). This was a NIB (New In Box) item, and after a few hours this afternoon, had it...

audible sound when shutting off RT

Is it the parking brake alarm sounding (if you key off without having parking brake set)?? Maybe the sensor that monitors if the brake is set is out of adjustment? Bill

Communication System on 2011 RT Limited

Steve, Thanks for the feedback... I never would have noticed it with the engine running. I wonder if it's designed to do that as a "self-check" so that a tech or operator wouldn't need a partner CB to confirm transmit modulation? Or at least modulation into the transmitter... doesn't really...

Communication System on 2011 RT Limited

More Weird CB Stuff Happening!! (2010 RT-S with CB, Entertainment Harness & BRP Headset / helmets): I noticed now, after using CB extensively over the weekend, that the TX will linger for up to 3 seconds about 30% of the time when using the driver's PTT button. When the passenger uses their...
