• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greetings,

I pick up my new 2011 Spyder RT on Thursday 5-5-11. To be honest I have 38 years on top of a bike and this sucker intimidates me.

Disabled US Army Veteran of 13 years service, Patriot Guard Rider Ride Captain NW Lower Michigan and a DAV Service Officer. Member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV.

Prior owner, Harley Classic, Vulcan Nomad 1600, Honda Goldwing and many more.

Looking forward to wrapping her in the hottest custom patriotic design in a few weeks. Turning Heads on the street and more important, enjoying the ride again. My Grand Children have named her Arachnica

Looking forward to meeting new friends.

Michael

:welcome:

Just take your time, relax, and the Spyder will feel second nature to you in no time. I recommend setting out the skills course outlined in the manual, and practicing a bit. There is no shame in that...I did it. It takes a little adjustment for most bike riders to get used to the Spyder. In a few hundred miles, you will feel better about it. Very capable and very safe. The bike may be the intimidator then. :D

Hey Michael,

:congrats: Congrats on your new RT... don't let it intimidate you! You'll quickly come to appreciate the ride and handling, and once that happens, I bet you'll be looking for every and any reason to go ryding!

Thankyou as well for all your years of service to our country.

Bill

Michael...welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of Spyders. I'm Larry, retired Army CW4. Wife and I go camping up your way in the Grayling area and we usually wind up over your way at the casinos. Join us for the rides around Michigan and meet some of your fellow Spyder riders.
