• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Vibration in Handlebars at certain speeds

It sounds like balancing issue or rim is not centered? Out of balance will usually notice in a speed range, 45 to 55 and begin to smooth out by 60. Unless it is really unbalanced. Out of round is more noticible at all speeds but worse at times. Wheel weight fall off? I would check to make...

    Need Help ASAP Please!!!

I've found my cordless impact driver does wonders for breaking bolts or nuts loose. Must be careful and ensure the bit or socket is a perfect fit but I've even used this on the bowl screws on my buell carb. NOTE: I did not say an impact wrench, just my cordless impact driver.

    Bigger Front Wheels

Didn't someone recently post about moving up a few sizes on the front tire (what was available at that tire shop) and the computer whining? 165/65/14 to 185/65/14. He ended up lowering the air pressure a little and that was just enough to make the computer happy. I believe someone else chimed...

how long does your dealer take, with service work?

I don't believe you mentioned if the dealer was close? Myself, I would just go up there and in a very calm manner ask to speak with the general manager or owner. Calling is better than email but sometimes business just requires a face to face discussion. Have a detailed discussion and get a...

    No Customer Service Corbin

This is unfortunate but in my opinion is far too common with small businesses, especially those with custom products. There are some that shine and always will but others just don't have the internal or ethical practices to maintain customer service. I actually stopped working for a friend when...

    Product Warning Scorpio Alarms

Many of the alarms are made by the same manf company. What you are really paying for is the installation and possibly the name. If all the wiring was done, it might be cheaper to replace it than the initial install. Maybe. I would understand your complaint if something happened within the...

$133 for a replacement key?!? WTF

Many shops are going to charge 1 hr minimum for anything. My house water filter company wants $115 for the first 15 minutes. I once lost the remote/key to my VW. It was close to $400 to replace so I ended up just using the valet key until I traded the car in. A quick Google search shows they...

    CYCLE GEAR NOT GOOD

Not sure I understand the issue. There is nothing wrong with the product and you are complaining about the return policy that is available to read online? I have this same product and plan to buy a few more actually. If a fly was added, that would add seams which could create discomfort. I...

    ultra touring windscreens

Quick update on my windshield adventure: I sold my touring screen to another member here that was local. I see he finally put his bike up for sale on CL. The buffeting was just too much for me @ 6'2" with bar risers and comfort seat putting me further back than stock riding position. I...

    F3T Impressions after 2 1/2 weeks

I rode a F3T at bike week and I don't recall a lot of buffeting but the wind noise was deafening. Likely because the air between the body/shield (accelerated air) was hitting me just under my helmet. I'm 6'2". The clip/clamp/bolt on screens do help with buffeting depending on the level and...

    Passenger not happy!!! :-/

There are pros/cons to everything. I am nearly a foot taller than my wife so on our RS with stock or comfort seat, she is still behind me and prefers that b/c I block all the wind which allows her to just relax. She doesn't like the F3 because she might actually be above my head and get wind...

I can't make up my mind!!!

All of this is pointless unless you have ridden both models. They do differ quite a bit. Each has it pros and cons. People usually switch models because they are looking for something different: ride, position, handling, performance, etc. All those parts can add up. PS: As frugal as I can be...

    DOH!~!

Oh yeah, that would do it. My wife has left our AC/DC power adapter plugged in a few times in our Jeep resulting in a dead battery.

    Leesburg bikefest

We made it over Sunday for a few hours. Several great bands. A few not so great (not that I could perform on stage). It was much more enjoyable than last year but that was a Saturday. Guess the crowd was less. Sun was brutal at times though. Would like to see them have more of the misters...

Because that is the mature thing to do instead of just asking the reason?

    Manual vs automatic transmission.

I was specifically looking for an auto to make it easier for my wife. not sure i would buy a manual now. Sitting in traffice on my buell will lead to arm cramp and soreness the next few days. bike week on to auto spyder this year was a cake walk. As others said, test ride both but i think you...

    Shoei Headwave

Sorry, but the music keeps me awake and alert. It allows me to filter out all the mono noises and relax. Turn by turn navigation also makes my ride safer. Being able to talk with my passenger is priceless and sorry but safer than trying to turn around, yelling to each other. I don't take calls...

    Picking up new F3

Congrats. I rode a F3T at bike week and the wind noise was ear piercing. Pretty sure it was this one: http://ridermagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2016/01/web-chart-TR1_5152.jpg I will say the wind was smooth but wow was it loud in my full face helmet. Just in the 15 or so minute demo...
