• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Help Check Engine Light On

I forget what they are actually called, but there are 2 short vacuum lines on the fuel injection system that are prone to crack. That's the first thing I would check.

    I pod connector

You do need cell service or your home internet to download the music to your library, but you do not need cell service to listen to music on the road. We have the same spotty cellular service in Minnesota too.

    UGH! Front tires

I went with Bridgestone Potenza's. The factory front tires are ok at best. I felt a noticeable improvement in handling with the four ply tires. My fronts had a lot of thread left when I changed them, but like Joe said,I wouldn't run tires that old on a motorcycle or a Spyder.

    I pod connector

I used to have an Ipod in the back for music. I went the Bluetooth route Lamont spoke of awhile back and love it. I don't really use my I tunes music much anymore on the Spyder or at home. I have an Amazon prime account, I run it through an app on my phone. With amazon music you have access to...

    Is there a solution here?

I don't haul my Spyder often enough to justify spending a lot of money on a trailer either. I use a 6'x8' utility trailer with a few little modifications. If your ramp is to steep, this is how I made it work for me.

    positive

I have a 2012 RTS-SE5 with 22,000 miles on it. My Spyder has been to the shop one time. From new on the glove box never opened right, that little problem was corrected under warranty. At around 15,000 miles I had to replace a leaking vacuum line. A simple fix I could do my self. I just now...

What gas does the Spyder take???

I have a 2012 rt with 20,000 miles on it now. I live in rural Minnesota and there just aren't a lot of vehicles on the road that require premium gas here. Most all the gas stations sell it but my guess is they don't sell much and it gets old. All our gas here is required by law to contain...

    2013 RT longer windshield

I wouldn't advise buying an overpriced brp windshield when it should of really came on the machine in the first place. I have a cal-sci tall wide vented windshield. For the money I think the cal-sci is a great windshield. Had mine since 2012 with no issues. F4 is a good choice too, seems...

    Another Tire Question

I thought I was happy with the performance of the original Kenda front tires . At 20,000 miles they still had a lot of tread life left but I was starting to experience some front end vibration. Rebalancing may have cured the vibration. I installed the same size Bridgestone Potenza's about 1000...

    Heads Up for RT622 owners

Forty years ago, most wheels were 14" or 15" or larger. You are right, you didn't need much bearing maintenance then. The smaller wheels on these trailers spin much faster. As far as the rear wheel bearings on a front wheel drive car, the bearings are all maintenance free bearings. I'm not...

Sound system keeps going in and out - any suggestions

My 12 RT does the same thing. It doesn't happen every time I start it, more of a random thing. I had the dealer look at it while it was under warranty. He said he fixed it, it was because I had the GPS wired to the wrong spot. Two years later it still does it now and then.

    New front tires - Potenza

I agree. I think most any local tire center will order what ever you want. My local guy got my last Kumho tire in a few days just like when you order it yourself. He charged ten dollars more than Discount tire but installed and balanced it for $25.

    Can Am reliability rating

I would expect the 3 big foreign bike builders to be on the top of the list. They sell millions of simple small 2 stroke motorcycles all over the world. Honda has sold over 60 million Super Cubs alone.

RTS To Sell or Keep? (Bajaron Sway Bar)

In my opinion every older RT needs two things. The Baja Ron sway bar and a vented windshield.

Windshield for RT: Calsci vs F4?

I'm sure the F4 is a fine windshield, but I love my Cal-sci.

    600 Mile Service WHAT?

This is just my two cents on this topic. I have a 2012 RTS-SE5. I never had a dealer do a 600 mile service. I changed the oil and filters myself. I did have some warranty work done later on and weather the dealer preformed this 600 mile service or not wasn't an issue, wasn't even mentioned. I...

Brand new '13 RT purchased in April, '15! he header

It's 102 degrees out. You could touch the handle bars on a Schwinn bike and the bars would be incredibly hot too.

New Tires to Mount - Is Walmart Automotive qualified - anyone use them?

Bauer Auto Service in Cold Spring mn. mounted and balanced a rear tire for me last year. Its sort of a family run shop with auto repair and motorcycle repair. I also purchased the tire from them for about $10.00 more than I could of bought it online. If I remember right they charged $20.00 for...
