• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Amsoil 10w-40 metric oil - what do you think?

Just had a conversation with my dealer (in Canada). Took the bike (2017 RTL) in for some minor issues (not motor or tranny). Also took in my own oil for an oil change. Got a phone call from them a little while ago saying they had an issue with the oil. They STATED that if they put in THAT oil my...

    gun enthusiast

Agree with others, 9m is going to too big for small game and is a little light for self defense (although would work). For small game, accurate, I like the new Ruger mark IV 22cal. REAL easy to tear down for cleaning and there are a lot of different models to choose from.

Best spot to mount a fuse block

Is yours an RTL? Was looking at the area behind the left pull off side panel (behind the Can-am name plate). That area is not enclosed for water though. The fuses are covered, but not the terminal ends.

    RT Dash Accessory Bar.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction. A long while back I remember seeing someone was selling a chrome or stainless bar that attaches via those two bolts on top of the RT dash. I believe it had spyder cut out in it. Can someone remember who/company that was. Been looking ---- but...

    2017 RTL

Only problem with a glass dash W/ the Gps built in (on a car as well) is if it goes for a poop you have lost all your way points and if out of warranty out a lot of money. On the 2017 if the Garmin goes POOF you can still "usually" plug it into a computer and up load your info , buy a new garmin...

    2017 rt steering

I have a 2017 RTL. The handling with the original swaybar was shall we say loose, under sprung feeling in the corners with a lot of outside lean. I had the dealer put on the BahaRon swaybar and new joints and it made a huge difference. Bike stays a lot flatter in the corners - especially when...

Heated seat wiring Just a side note on the RDL heated seats. I phoned my BRP dealer to try and purchase the plug and play wiring harness that comes with the BRP ultimate heated seat. ----- NO deal. Harness comes WITH the seat and you can't buy it separate.

    2017 RTL

Since the RDL seats have their own switch. I'll go with a new line off of a "keyed" harness and install a fuse and relay (30amp?). Thank's to all for your help and wisdom in this matter.

    2017 RTL

You will have to excuse my ignorance on the wiring. You said "rear" stock harness. I'm assuming at the back of the bike??? Would that be the wiring, leading to the trunk power outlet?

    2017 RTL

Hmmmmm? Maybe I should look around for someone with a stock RTL seat for sale - up here in the Great White North.:)

    2017 RTL

We do. It will go in later this winter - closer to production date they gave me. (About 2-3 weeks before).

    2017 RTL

Thank's for the info. We put in an order for a Russell, Day-long w/ heated seat. Won't get it until mid/late spring as they have had so many orders come in this winter. BRP's seat although nice, just isn't "that" comfortable for long rides for me and the Mrs.

    2017 RTL

Hi folks, Ordering a new seat w/heaters. My question is: Is there a wiring harness in place already to plug into "or" do I have to wire one in from the battery? Thank's in advance.

Went to Friday the 13th bike rally in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada today. Saw about 20+ Spyder's of various models there. One local news girl(local TV station) was being carried around on an F3 sport (the bumble bee) doing her news story for the 6PM news. It's a one day deal. Police estimated...

I'm PO'd about oil change cost!

Will be doing my own oil changes from now on. Took it to the dealer for it's "first" service and oil change for warranty. Didn't want to leave the "breakin oil" in over winter. Will still be buying BRP filter and O-rings.

I'm PO'd about oil change cost!

I supply my own oil because I have used 100% synthetic oil (Amsoil) for about the last 15 years in my bikes, cars and small engines. BRP oil is a blended "semi" synthetic. It has nothing to do with the cost of the oil. I think I provided "good will" when I popped 35K + on a 2017 RTL +...

I'm PO'd about oil change cost!

My final price included sales tax of about $50 bucks (Which is major theft in itself) - but still $475+............ Robbery!

I'm PO'd about oil change cost!

Ouch, ouch, ouch!!!! Took the spyder into the dealer for it's first inspection and oil change. Before they even started they quoted me over $500 bucks. Said it takes three hours for their inspection, oil change and test ride. Supplied my own oil which dropped the price to $475+. No wonder people...
