• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2013 Windshield Change

I've got the smaller BRP sport windshield currently on the Spyder. I cut a NACA shaped inlet in it. The main purpose for me wasn't so much for ventilation but to balance the pressure better from the front to the rear. When riding in rain now the back of the screen doesn't get as much water on it...

    Cool windshield !

I think you'll find there's no easy way to tint lexan or plexi after manufacturing. They outgas which causes the stick on tints to bubble.

1.5 volt Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries

Nothing wrong with using AA Lithiums, there's lots of us that have been using them with no issues other than longer battery life. A regular new alkaline runs 1.57V when tested. The Lithium comes in at 1.7. Less than a half volt diff total. Nothing in the circuitry that will be bothered by that...

Am I going to regret this ?

The fact that you are asking this question on a Spyder forum and not on the Goldwing forum gives a hint as to which way you are leaning. I had a (2 wheel) 02 Goldwing before my 2012 RT SM5 and I like the Spyder a whole lot more and ride it a bunch more also. Suggest you take a test ride and see...

2013 RTS SE5 CURED OF WOBBLING

I just used RideNow in Ocala to get parts for my RT I needed shipped overnight. When the package pickup was missed, the parts guy there (Jeff) actually called me back to let me know and then took the package out in his own car looking for a drop box to ship it after hours..REALLY nice folks to...

Does anybody have an RT (not RT-S or Limited)?

I've got a 2012 RT SM5, base model. When you do the math on msrp pricing, you can add whatever you'd like for less money and you'll probably recover a higher percentage of initial cost on resale. Spyder owners tend to be modders and you can always add whatever you'd like. The base RT has the...

    Rear Tire Wear

Don't think you'll find a TR1 but you can get a proxes 4, I just bought one last week.

    Rear Tire Wear

With the stock rear tire being wide and soft we recognize that it tends to egg out at high speeds causing the center to wear faster regardless of tire pressures. However, what does that mean toward hydroplaning and stability?

    Lifting an RT

I've taken it off and reseated several times. I've gotten it a bit better but still has a gap. It was VERY tight coming off initially.

    Exhausting mistake

Good thought, I've ordered from them before. I'll check around tomorrow and order from somewhere. I'm not putting a lot of faith in my local dealer having them in stock.
