• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2013 RTS SE5 CURED OF WOBBLING

Hello To All
I wanted to give a final update on our wobbling issue that has now been repaired. I want to start by thanking God for giving us the means to buy a second spyder, I thank Lamont for his help, thank everybody here for the information that was forwarded to BRP and to my dealer.
I just want to add BRP was in contact with us on a day to day basis and kept us informed thru all this and worked diligently with my dealer to fix this problem. BRP I thank you for doing what you did to get us up and running. To my Dealer Ride Now Power Sports of Ocala Fl I thank you for everything you did as I know Lyle went above and beyond to help. I thank you all so much.
The Spyder started out wobbling all over the road, felt like you were riding a snake. Then we were told about the alignment problem but had to wait for a program to be developed. My dealer then got the program and performed the alignment and it rode better but still darted to the right by itself. BRP then went back to the drawing board and found a bad shipment of ball joints. They sent the ball joints out to all the dealers but then we were told by the service tech it would be 10 days before they got the tools needed to replace the ball joints. Lyle the head man at Ride Now said that was unacceptable and called me back told me he is sending someone to my house to pick up the spyder and he worked out with another dealer to overnight the tools said it will be fixed the next day. As I was talking to him BRP called my wife and said they were going to ship the tools to my dealer in 2 days. Awesome how everybody came together here. Well had the ball joints replaced today and the spyder is running awesome. Now I can appreciate the new design of the front end WOW. It rides so smooth and stable makes you realize why we love BRP and our Spyders. That's the fix. Anybody else having the same problem please use the info here on this board as it helped BRP and the Dealers. Thank you all, and enjoy the ride to the destination . God Bless you all.

Glad they got it fixed. Makes me feel very confident that my new 2013 RT will steer the same way. I'm still waiting for mine. No hurry though, we've got about 20" of snow on the ground that needs to melt.

Good to know..!!

Heard all about the ball joint issue but this is the first first hand post that it actually works and solved the problem.. Thanks give those suffering new hope..:2thumbs:

Thanks for the update and encouragement, today my dealer told me they have the ball joints but the tools were back ordered and didn't know when they would arrive. Sounds like your dealer goes the extra mile for his customers. That's good because I will probably be moving to Ocala in the next year or so.

2013's

I've been keeping up with all thats going on with the new 2013's and I'm glad you have your spyder fixed. I must say, BRP has really come through for this issue and hopefully the dealers will also. Congrats on your spyder and hopefully we will see you at Spyderfest or the Owners Event & Lamont's BBQ.

The tools are not back ordered, I'm not why they would say that.

Good to hear the success stories coming in.

If anyone were counting, I think we are up to four now. :roflblack::roflblack:

Edit: five and six are listed below. It is looking better all the time and so far, no complaints over the fix. It is looking like they got it :2thumbs: . A good statistical sample is 27, I believe.

I just used RideNow in Ocala to get parts for my RT I needed shipped overnight. When the package pickup was missed, the parts guy there (Jeff) actually called me back to let me know and then took the package out in his own car looking for a drop box to ship it after hours..REALLY nice folks to deal with.

Yes the dealership is awesome. Their spyder tech Clint is very good, and has done some awesome work on both my spiders. The dealership has gone above and beyond to help with problems. They also contributed to many charity function. When in the area stop by say hello to them. If in the market for a new spyder tell Tony one of the salesmen Mike from Christian Motorcycle sent you . I know you will get a discount. They are awesome.

New Ball Joints and New Seat

I took my 2013 RT-S to my dealer (Atlantic City Cycle Center) this morning to get the ball joints replaced. My bike did not drift badly before taking it in though steering it seemed "spongy". Anyway, after replacing the ball joints the bike is now solid and without any sense that I am not in control.

I also had a new Ultimate seat installed and, it too, is wonderful. My thanks to everyone on SpyderLovers who recommended it.

Finally, my dealer did a great job. I am fortunate to finally have a supportive and knowledgeable dealer; thanks Justin Hammell and Ed Reyes.

You are correct sir, today I went back to the dealer to inquire about the 3 week back order info I was given and the tools had unexpectedly arrived yesterday afternoon. Ball joint replacement is scheduled for Tuesday.
