• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So How is your Spyder Service

Gargano's in East Haven, CT 4 Stars They are not the closest ones to home, but I would travel three times the distance for the quality of service these folks pour out. Breaks my heart to hear horror stories from Spyder owners that don't have a dealer near home with strong support in the...

    60,000 miles

considering the bleak economical outlook, I may jump on board with a BEST Plus. The plan was to ride this one till Spring and then look at the RT, but considering how great the BRP warranty coverage has been so far... it may make more sense to go with the extension. Specially since no one is...

    +1 with DPS fixed

hard to say.... I disabled it in my first 7k miles and rode 60k+ without it in use.. so it's just been sitting there inactive and still acted up as soon as it was enabled again. In reality it should have been taken care of back at 7k miles.

    60,000 miles

I can't tell you for sure what your experience or anyone else's will be, but I can tell you for sure what my experience was. I flipped to zero miles at 62,137. (unkowingly, I only noticed when I looked down and saw that I only had 57 miles total) Made it to the dealer a few days later and we...

    +1 with DPS fixed

long story short; I had issues with my DPS from day one back when no one else did so I just pulled fuses and kept going out of fear of being the first unit to be guinea pigged. I rode many, many miles with no help from the DPS and was happy. After a recent ECM update I was no longer able pull...

    60,000 miles

:congrats: Awesome mileage and here's to many more!! BRP needs to create a 62,137 mile pin! my trip time never went above 10-12 hours cause I was constantly reseting it. Only noticed my time stopped when I got to work and saw that my trip was still at 0.

I think it's, replace the ECM and the console. Console is storing the mileage and ECM is storing the total run hours.

    Spyder stop ticking...

well, how's this for making things even more interesting.... and I would love to hear what the significance of 1070.9 hours. My console was swapped out with the hopes that the clock would also reset, but I'm still stuck at 1070.9... and now I only have 31 miles on the odometer. Although the...

The Pic's of my new RT-S

Don't let it harsh your mellow. These are the same folks that were complaining after BRP gave out 5 units to a select group. It's just envy. Enjoy your new ride, welc0me to the boards. Please post up your experiences as you start enjoying your new Spyder.

/negative once you flip at 62,137 miles, you are back at 0 on the dash and via the BUDS plug.

    Blue Tint in Headlights

pull up to a white wall or garage door in the dark. By nature the projectors have an area that is subject to a little flaring. Look at the light on the wall and look to the edges of it and you'll see a line of different color. The folks with standard bulbs will see a line of yellow/amber, your...

    Heated glove question

I used to know an old school rider who always preached about keeping your hands warm, to maintain nice blood flow and maintain reaction time to grab the front brake and clutch. As good as those G3 Gloves are, if you go below 35 and plan to be on the highway, they wont be enough. In those times...

    Heated glove question

I go directly to the battery and the colder it gets, the more I wear. Start with the gloves, then the jacket liner, then the pants and for those days when the temps drop below 10, the socks keep my toes nice and toasty. Just be careful... you can wreck your battery real quick if you have...

    good news on belt life

my original belt is about to be replaced just shy of hitting 75k miles and it may have lived longer if I was vigilant with checking the tension on it. (...or if that spasm in my right hand didn't whack the throttle all the time..) We were forced to replace it after an inspection found three...

    New battery heading my way

I was not able to stretch mine all the way so I went to the local harley dealer and the parts guys gave me an L style bracket that is often used on their bikes. I just replaced mine a few weeks ago and went with a new brand, so I can't share any photos.
