• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ever take your dirt-bike to the beach?

I originally thought this was CGI trickery...but NOPE! This guy actually rides waves with his dirt-bike. Just goes to show that tenacity pays off!

Any Windows XP Gurus out there? If so, HELP!!!

Joe, you mention that you use McAfee....It's been my experience that newer versions of many Virus Protection software can bring an older PC to its knees. They can continuously scan or perform tasks that some machines just can't handle. IF your PC does not go onto the internet or is not connected...

    new owner with riding issues

my 2 cents... Welcome to the Spyder Family!!! My wife and I are also pushing the higher tolerances of our RTL. These helped us as pilot and copilot :) 1- BajaRon Anti-swaybar. My copilot (wife) was able to notice the difference just coming out of the driveway. The tryke no longer swayed so...

    The spyder getting the looks!!

My wife and I... My wife and I took a ryde down to Yosemite for the day earlier this summer. We had packed a lunch and were sitting at a picnic table nearby when a tour-bus full of tourists stopped and let out the passengers. They all made a bee line directly to our tryke and started taking...

Going to be a dumb question but . .

I often.... I often ryde with a group of other Spyders and it runs the whole array of gear. There are ryders who go to the hilt with the ATGATT while others wear mesh jacket's and jeans and others go with t-shirts/shorts. Go with whatever you feel comfortable with....be it Full on Safety or...

    Spyder New-B Here

Congrats!... Congratulations on the Spyder acquisition! Yah it's true, I'm a bit jealous that you've wandered the hallowed halls (are there any halls) of Lamonster Garage while I haven't. Maybe someday....It gives me something to look forward to! Perhaps there could be a Franchise deal to be...

Bullying on our boards will be dealt with when reported

Great job so far.... I've been coming here almost daily for quite a while and find this forum has always been well maintained. But if its creator and moderator feels the need for closer scrutiny, so be it! Thanks Lamont, for continuing to keep your attention on this fantastic little slice of...

TricLed vs Custom Dynamics LED Accent Kits?

I've got both.... I've got lights from both. I think they both have quality items. Good vetting by Lamont~ "win-win"

    IPOD ON RT

That appears..... That appears to be an IPOD Nano 5th Generation. That is as a compatible device. It may be a 4th Generation which is not listed. Here is a link that shows all versions: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204217 I've had trouble with mine time to time. With the tryke off, I've...

    Extended Warranty

I did the same... Purchased the extended warranty with 1 month left on the original. BUT... I was able to get it at about 1/2 of the "rolled in" price at separate dealer. IMO, you should at least get a quote from Burt's as ammo to deal...

Motorcycle Lift - Shout Out to Chupaca

As has been stated before... Just in case....Damage can occur if you put the weight of the tryke on those points. I do use jack-stands and wood blocks as well, but have them positioned so it's just resting slightly for stability in case the lift fails.

Motorcycle Lift - Shout Out to Chupaca

I've got the same Jack... I've got the same Jack from Harbor Freight and it works like a champ! Just had to remove the rubber pads 'cuz it was 1/4 inch too high and wouldn't slide under. Do know where you have your "Ground effects Lighting" on the frame before you use these!:yikes:

    Will THIS make you happy?

While I don't condone.... While I don't often condone fighting, I'm glad to see that these youths used their fists and not "alternate weapons" as is so often the case. IMO Sometimes you need to break out the dukes.....but just the dukes....Lessons are learned and everybody walks away.

Spyders in the Redwoods raffle ??????

jerseyspyder, if you PM Passionspyder with your contact info, I'll see if I can contact her to let her know that you've done so. I believe that she was inundated with transactions and performed admirably, especially given the overwhelming circumstances. I'm sure that there have been some lessons...

    ARACHNID VEE RUBBER TIRES

Any idea if/when... So does anyone know if/when VEE Rubber will be coming out with a new compound "FRONT" tires for the 2012's and below using 165/65R14? I saw posts earlier stating that the new compound are out, but all I see is for the 15" tires... Lamont said that he was working with the...

louder muffler that uses original header pipe ?

:agree: While I do LOVE the sound of a well tuned engine and loud pipes, I do also agree with SPYD3R. I've found it difficult to judge my own shifting when behind some rydes with loud pipes, because I do so by ear. I'm not as happy to swap over to viewing the tach for shifting....But small price...

Shaking tire - Let's play "Guess the Shake"

I asked about a similar situation happening with my '12 RTL a few weeks back, only I said Shimmy and wobble as well as occurring between 43 to 46 mph... The replies I got referred to it being "Tire Separation". There are several other posts using that term. I haven't had the $$ for new tires, so...
