• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2015 Can-Am Spyder Line Up

Major disappointment in regard to that 1330 making it into the ST. MAJOR miss on BRP's part. It's like they purposely want to leave a wide gap in the line when it comes to power and interest in the RT.

Breaking: BRP Press Release - 2015 Models

Yup... Was really expecting the 1330 in the ST... I guess I hold on to the 08 GS or I sell it and go back to two wheels. Looks like they placed their bets on the F3 this year.

What type of gas does everyone use

87 mostly. The GS doesn't call for anything more. I'll occasionally put 93 in when it is cheap enough. Haven't noticed a difference at all. I do make it a point to buy ethanol free gas when I can find it... I do notice slightly better mileage from it.

Nah - He is just keeping his post count up. ;) That and Lamont is probably paying him to keep us in our cage another couple of hours.

    Today's the Day

All I know is this... They had better put the 1330 in the ST. Seems like a no brainer to consolidate manufacturing and that is what I want. As for the F3... I really dig it, but by time you add a touring shield and hard cases on the top and sides, you'll destroy the muscle/naked cruiser look...

    Today's the Day

I think you might find that the F3 replaces the RS in the line up. Hence you get your wish to some extent.

I think the announcements come late in the day to early evening based on past years.

    Please Help...

I had same problem with my GS late last year... would free it up and it would work for a bit and then be frozen again. Cable went bad and had chewed into the internal guide coil/sheath. Put a new cable in and no more issues. That cable went five years. The trunk cable only lasted two.

    KUMHO

Hate to thread crap... But the Kuhmo was by far the worse tire I ever had on the Spyder. Pretty bad on wet roads and standing water. The Toyo Proxes 4 has been the best in all conditions - but that one is discontinued too. Our choices are getting limited.

Anyone besides Doc trurbod one of these things?

Same essential engine... putting out 146 HP. Turbo bumps you up to 155????. Problem is the Spyder is weight biased to the front. I rode Doc's with the turbo... it was fun.

Anyone besides Doc trurbod one of these things?

Only a few have done it that I have seen. I know Doc did his right by adding an aftermarket racing clutch ( another $900+) after eating his stock clutch at least once. That makes your total investment $6k + installation. Not sure it is worth it.

    Passed a patriotic spyder today

That might have been Ben. What color? Was it Blue covered with murals? Was he towing a matching trailer?

    Trailer Talk

I'm putting my toy hauler up for sale in about four weeks. It is a 22 foot (26 tongue to tail). 15 foot garage. AC, toilet, shower, microwave, fridge, etc... Probably not what you were think about, but hey!!! Might as well put it out there.

    One more tire thread

Kuhmos are crap for the Spyder. Wet traction was horrible compared to the Kenda and half worn they hydroplaned ever worse. The best tire for the rear so far has been the Toyo Proxes 4 which is now discontinued... That tire is awesome in the dry, rain, and standing water. It amazes me how...

    Can Am motorcycle lift

http://lifts-and-stands.com/dev/product/eazy-rizer-big-blue-lift/ They make one with the SPyder adapter... Video looks pretty cool too. Expensive, but This option gives you full access and the thing can be stored out of the way.

    2015 Can-Am Spyder Roadster Spied!

I think the announcements this year are going to be very interesting. These spy shots might confirm the following. - If they are putting the 1330 in a RS/entry level Spyder then the 1330 should most definitely be in an ST. - I think the RT and ST designs are too new for a complete makeover so...

    Fuel Canister ?

These are a great idea and sell cheaper than Amazon at Home Depot and Lowes. They have a plastic pull tab seal under the cap as well. I would not store them on their side however as the whole top plastic assembly can rotate which tells me they would leak potentially... Probably one of the best...
