• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Shifting to 1st gear...

Cruzr Joe is right on. Had my dealer overfill the oil so much I could't even get a good reading on it. So I now always check before leaving dealership. #1 rule, don't trust a mechanic. I also was told they used full synthetic oil, and I even questioned them on it. They said they did. But...

Status of ECM Update after 30 minute drive Took a 30 minute drive at 73 degree temperature and there are definite locations on my Spyder that are not as hot as they usually are. I think I still had a little puttering as usual upon take off with a cold engine. I'll take a longer drive later...

    ECM Update Fixes Heat Problem!

I was barely getting 28 mpg as it is. I would hate for it to get worse. Mmmm, heat or better mileage, that's a tough one :(

    Non-Facebook Spyderlovers Owners Event link

What's with the Generic looking registration form? Not to put a damper on this registration process or be overly paranoid, but I find it odd that BRP didn't publish this registration form as a link off their main website. This registration form is so generic and seems to ask for quite a bit of...

Heck yeah, price went up over $30...For whatever reason, the night before the official announcement was made I decided to make a reservation at Travelodge for the entire week, just based on some of the rumors from other SpyderLovers. I had no real idea the announcement was being made the next...

    ECM Update Fixes Heat Problem!

...at least I am being optimistic it did, or at the very least is getting our 2013 RT's one step closer to helping it a bit. At the dealer, they updated the ECM based off of the most recent Warranty Bulletin. Here are the before and after versions: Before: B.U.D.S. version: R3.4.2.3 BRP...

And make that another SpyderLover at the Travelodge on 2970 Main Avenue. Didn't get the $35 rate, but a $45 AAA rate. Wow, I could be wrong, but looks like the rates went up quite a bit. Now it's around $75 a night. See you all there!

Shifting problems from 1st to second. Not downshifting, No or very Low oil?

Update: 01/08/2013 Spyder continued to run great after adding the Mobil 1, but I decided to take the Spyder into the Dealer for routine maintenance and to get the oil changed out. Getting home from the dealer after a 45 minute ride, I was unable to get an accurate reading on the dipstick...

So, I sent an email to Bill over at Web Boards inquiring on the status of the boards for the 2013 RT-S. This is what he had to say: "The Web Boards are available to fit the 2013 models that have a manual shifter which have the factory foot pegs now. We are working on a bracket that will...

Shifting problems from 1st to second. Not downshifting, No or very Low oil?

Shifting AOK..... Just got back from a 40 minute ride in some the Sonoran Foothills back country, with a lot of twisties, small hills, and varying speed terrain. I am happy to report at this time that I did not have any further lurching from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Automatic downshifting now...

Shifting problems from 1st to second. Not downshifting, No or very Low oil?

Garage floor is clean as a whistle! No stains anywhere. My gut feeling, and the only logical explanation at this point in time, is it wasn't filled up properly at it's 600 mile service. Not to point any fingers, but the service was done at the same dealer that put Ron's sway bar on...
