• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many miles on rear tire

Then again, you might not. I just changed out my stock Kenda rear tire on our 2015 RT-S. It may have had about 500 miles left but I was only at 7290. I do ride a bit aggressive and 90% of the time it is two up (extra weight) but you may want to check your "miles to go" for your trip. I was...

    Dealer Negative & Positive

No, bearings stayed in but both shops said that the hub simply extended too far in both directions to fit on any of their equipment. BTW, the technician at Veys said that he could change the tire without removing the brake rotor. Good to know for next time which I hope will be longer with the...

    Dealer Negative & Positive

Didn't try Evans but both Discount and Sears said that they didn't have the machines that could handle a wheel where the hub extends past the width of the tire on both sides. If it was the older style where the hub unbolted then it probably wouldn't have been an issue. Enjoyed talking to the...

    Dealer Negative & Positive

Tore into our 2015 RT-S this Sunday for the first rear tire change. Going to the General Altimax RT-43 215/60R15. Watched the Finless video (thanks Bob), searched all over the forum, wrote out all my torques and instructions and then dived in. I successfully got the wheel off, pulled out the...

    Spyder crash caught on camera!!!!

Evidence I think I see something in the video. At the 9 second mark, as the bike flips and passes up the car on the right, the left front tire is facing straight forward (relative to the bike) and the right front tire is turned very much outward to the right of the bike. I think that the bike...

    Spyder crash caught on camera!!!!

Finally! Thank you finless and IdahoMtnSpyder!!!! This thread should not be about "who is at fault". There isn't enough evidence in the video and unless you were there, you simply don't know so all of our "opinions" are quite meaningless. The message here is "YES - YOUR SPYDER CAN FLIP...

    BajaRon anti sway bar

Not the information requested I don't think that is what the OP was asking. I believe he is saying that the dealer is telling him that the stock sway bar on the 2015 is the same as the Baja Ron sway bar that he installed on his 2013 therefore there is no reason to switch from the older bike...

Need help identifying the right connector

I might be over simplifying it but how about disconnecting one and stepping on the brake pedal and then putting that back and disconnecting the other one and again stepping on the brake pedal. Since the brake lights work (at least on our 2015 RT) without the key wouldn't this tell you which one...

    I fixed my thermite mixer

I'm unable to make a determination of the problem because your story did not start with "But Honey, it was making this funny noise and then ..........". Had you included that, I would have known that it was due to the nitrogen you put into the tires.

    Very interesting trailer

Baxley Trailer I looked up the website for the Razor brand trailer and really like the way they operated. While on YouTube searching for videos of how they work, I also came across this Baxley trailer. I liked this concept even more than the Razor because it can stay connected to the tow...

That "Low Sun" in the Sky...

It is adhesive based for some little clip doo-dads that stick onto your faceshield and the visor is removable (for 2 of the 3 positions available) but once you put it on I doubt that you will ever want to take it off, I never have. Check it out at http://www.super-visor.com/

That "Low Sun" in the Sky...

Super-Visor I think this is the Super-Visor that Grayfox was talking about. I've had one of these on my last two helmets and I'll never be without one from here on out.

2015 Spyder RT "limp mode" erratically

I happen to know this particular bike a little bit. It's pretty much brand new and hasn't even had the break in service done on it yet. The dealer who assembled it is not one of my favorites but the dealer who is working on it now has a good reputation. I know that this particular machine...

2015 Spyder RT "limp mode" erratically

Erratic Limp Mode I have never had the "Limp Mode" fault but I do have a couple of questions. When it happens, are you saying that the machine loses ALL power or just goes to "reduced" power? And in the 3 times that it happened, did it recover to normal without turning off the engine or did...

What is considered a Real Motorcycle?

We simply say "Our Bike" and normally, that is the end of it. If they ask "What kind of a Bike?" then we say "A Can-Am Spyder". This usually leads to a lot of inquisitive questions and big smiles. From them and us.

gel pads and bead pads for seats

2015 RT-S Stock seat - wife as passenger loved it. After 50 miles I would almost limp when I got off of the bike because I hurt so badly. Swapped to 2013 Comfort seat (bought here from forum member). Wife didn't like this as much, felt hard to her and she says that she slides forward which...

    Heated clothing questions

Coaxial Connectors Jack - I use www.Warmnsafe.com products and you can buy these coaxial connectors on their website. For my passenger heated gear I needed a 15 amp circuit wired directly to the battery to handle jacket liner, pants and gloves (too much amperage for fuse block). I went into...
