• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Good News, Bad News

Brian, you and Deb have been very patient throughout, but I can see your frustration in your latest posts. I really hope your dealership gets its act together and puts your Spyders back on the road where they belong! Best wishes, Bruce

    In The Press

Motorcycles & Cars & Roadsters :agree: and so does BRP. They have taken pains from the beginning to say the Spyder Roadster is not a motorcycle. As one of the brochures I picked up early on states, "It resides beyond the conventions of motorcycles and automobiles. Comgining the best of two...

Another proud day for this Papa

Cool! I noticed the tail of the B-25 as well. There is really nothing to compare to the sound those radial engines make in full song, is there? Bruce

Congratulations Alex! Good luck with your Special Forces training. Sarge, that is not a P-38. I believe it is an A-26 "Invader". Bruce

    Baja Sur or Bust?

Make sure you are fully informed. Not taking sides one way or the other here, but anyone contemplating a trip to a region like this should be aware of all the possible risks. :popcorn:See the attached link to the Security Travel Alert issued by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular...

Going for a Spyder Test Ride - Advice from SpyderLovers?

Just hang off a little bit in the direction of the turns. The cornering is what I found strangest with the Spyder at first. I am amazed that you are able to have a test ride on the Rock at this time of the year. Here in Southwestern Ontario, we are completely snowed under, and the roads that...

    tis 3 days afore Christmas

Amen to that! We just need to worry about mundane matters like snowstorms, while they are dealing with IEDs and terrorists. God bless all of them. Bruce

    tis 3 days afore Christmas

Oh, I don't plan to move south permanently, Scotty, but I would love to spend a month or two in sunnier climes during these winter doldrums! :coffee: Best regards, Bruce

    tis 3 days afore Christmas

Here is what I posted on my Facebook wall today: All right, another day without snow! Every snowless winter day is a blessing. I cannot put into words how much I loathe this godforsaken time of the year. I look forward to the day when I will be able to spend a substantial part...

    SCARY

Another interesting tidbit about deer - the deer population has grown exponentially over the past couple of hundred years, due to the diminishing number of their natural predators (primarily wolves). The deer population in North America is now higher than it was when Columbus landed in 1492...

    SCARY

Nice Riding! Wow! Kudos to the rider for keeping his bike under control after impact. :2thumbs: That is how quickly it can happen. I didn't even see the deer prior to the collision until the slow motion replay at the end. Bruce

    BRP - Ranking

groundeffect, I had a Kawasaki Concours before I purchased my Spyder. I owned it for over nine years, and it was as reliable as a stone axe. I never had a moment's trouble with it and I rode it all over Canada and the U.S. Unfortunately, my experience with the Spyder was not nearly as...

When riding on wet roads.... with the Spyder...

:hun: Uh, not this two-wheeler, crusher. The one and only time I stopped under a bridge was in Knoxville in a thunderstorm that was so heavy I could not see where I was going. Also, the only scary moments I have ever experienced in the rain were on my Spyder, not on a two-wheeler, when it...
