• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Annoyed by people asking how much $$$$ ...

I agree. I usually say around $18K, They sometimes say something like "You can buy a CAR for that" LOL - "but not a Porsche" I retort, "and this is like a Porsche with three wheels". Ususally shuts them up if they are ignorant (most) or gets into a new level of performance if they are not...

    Need advice from onwers

SE5 Hi Rick, I was just cruisin' around the RT forum because I am thinking of upgrading to the R/T. More on that later. I currently have the RS with the SE5 Shifter. I can tell you there is a LOT of power and it is a much faster (and easier) shift than the clutched model. The only setback I...

putting the stock exhaust back on

Bone Crusher, Do you know if any other modifications are needed if you swap the stock muffler with a Hindle? I like the look and sound of the Hindle (not obnoxiously loud) but don't want to start adding juice box or other O2 devices.

    Tire life?

Must be the Canadian roads... I replaced my rear tire at 43.000km and am just going to have the front tires changed at 64,000 km. The right side is wearing more than the left, but we'll do both of them. Suprised that the prices are so good! $190 for both fronts and the rear was only about $185

How to Get 40,000 Miles out of a 20,000 Mile Tire

Good Advice Buck Thanks for the advice buck. I replaced my rear tire after a little more than 43,000 km (about 27,000 miles). The fronts are still going pretty strong after over 60,000 km. I'll probably change them after I get back from the west coast. I have to say almost all of my riding is...

    Can't Open Seat

Also the "hatch" in the carrier is opened by pulling the red release. I use this to keep my wallet in while riding, for comfort of not sitting on it for long trips. IT is also needed to release the plate and put on the passenger backrest. Less of a security concern to be sure.

First post new RSS owner Hindle question

I didn't find the handle obnoxiously load. It won't really compare to the 2 in 1 V & H's. Careful about the "stock" claim though. In Canada, at least, it is clearly stayed that the handle exhaust is "for track use only" the statement is not for the dB level. The handle has no catalytic...

Looking into the future of the RT

I still have my '08 RS I like it so much I hate to part with it to get an R/T which I LOVE. I was thinking about next Summer. Maybe I should hang on another year? I do lots of touring on the RS, although I only have around 60,000km (~40,000 miles). If there are still a few bugs to tweek another...

    BRP Ontario Spyder Rally

Thanks Northstar, much easier to read. It looks like we'll have to wait for another year for this one. Good for them that it is all filled, too bad one of them is not me. The roads are beautiful up around Huntsville. It seems there is quite a Spyder following up there. I'll have to try to...

    Parking Brake ?

Thanks Scotty, I thought that the "slacking" was just due to use. I try not to over extend the pressing of the pedal. but after awhile it is one more click and then another that is needed to hold the Spyder on an incline. I find that if I am off of the bike (not always possible on much of a...
