• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    HID versus LED headlights

I have had HID's on my RT for a couple of years now and like them very much. I think they give a better light pattern than the LED's and the cost was very close if purchase on sale. Never had a problem with noise, or compute malfunction.

    Belt tension in HZ

Search for Doc Riversider here on the forum, and send him a message. I think he has a post about that, but I know for a fact he can answer your questions as he did my RT using that method.

Pushed my headlight adjustment screw in to far.

This post is a geat example of why you should always start off by mentioning what style and model Spyder you are inquiring about . The RT's have knob and cable to adjust the headlights, do all Spyders adjust this way?

Let me share a Pitbull Powersports story

Thank you for that, I thought it was a good idea when they started it, and seem to be going out of their way to keep it unbuased and fair. I was going to suggest that 'fulltimer' go post his experience there if he did infact do all he could with the dealer.

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

Just to clear this up, a Battery Tender is a battery maintainer sold by the Deltran Company here in Florida. There are other battery maintainers on the market, some of them very good. Itis not a battery charger. There is only one Battery Tender, there are af few different models. If you are...

F3L Monster Fuel Injection ECU Flash

The best I can tell you is that it takes a few hours for opening and closing the case and doing the flash, and then a while longer for the sealant to set up. When I sent them mine I shipped it Friday, they got it Monday, Flashed it, and put it in the mail Wednesday, and I got it Friday. There...

    Bluetooth with a half helmet?

I put our Sena 10S system on our half helmits. Had to make a couple of pockets for the speakers, but it wasn't that big a deal. The unit itself mounted just like it does on our open face and modulator helmets I would have mounted any of the Senas the same way. .

Recommendations for cleaning and restoring shine to chrome wheels?

I'm going to try the wheel cleaner that Lamont sells in Lamonster Garage. He is one of the sponsors of this forum and is listed on the front page. It is supposed to be very good.

ECU upgrade / remap - Video

Hey Larry, me and "you know who" talked about you while we fluched my brake system. He didn't ride my RT, maybe another day. I did offer though. Sorry to hear about your rf-flash not working out, I was really interested in your gear change. Our riding country is totally different, I think I...

ECU upgrade / remap - Video

Let me add just a little becasue of the lat two comments. I'm not selling anything, but, for those who are not performance minded, my RT is so much smoother going down the road, (4,000 rpm and below) that during our ride last Saturday, my wife commented on how much smoother the Spyder seemed...

ECU upgrade / remap - Video

Yes, nice write up Martin, the video was pretty good also. I'm very happy I did mine, 2015 RT Limited. I feel it is much smoother in general riding, can definitely tell having more throttle. iIt would be interesting to know why BRP limits it to 3/4. Anyway, seat of the pants I'm surprised...

I was told that the air scoops are no longer available from BRP. They may be out there somewhere, but you will have to search for them. This comes from a pretty good source.

How Far on a Tank of Gas

I like this, but I have never gotten less than 34 mpg. Now, I regularly get over 200 miles a tank on my 2015 RT Limite, and have gotten 44.6 mpg a couple of times when I behave myself. Since having my ECU reflashned I'm getting around 40 mpg tops.

    2018 Self Leveling Suspension

Yes, when I had my rear tire replaced, I asked the tech about it, and that is when I learned I was doing it all wrong. I told him that i was trying to keep 60 pounds in my air bag when I rode because I liked the way it handled at that pressure, and he told me that the system was bleeding off...

Any easy way to get air into rear tire?

What makes it so hard to get to, is the spokes on the rear pully what is getting in the way of the valve stem. I have a 2015 RT Limited, and my valve stem is right out in the open.
