• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

in music, i just love drums

Yep, she certainly is good. I started playing when I was 7, and I don't know how long my Father played, but he helped my Uncle become the youngest rudimentary drummer in the state of Ohio. I know, or assume that I couldn't do what she does, I was too busy learning how to play the 16 rudiments...

Calling all 2014-2015 RT owners with "Belt Vibration"

Let me add my two cents to this discussion, a heavier sway bar, or laser alignment, will having nothing to do with a vehicles vibration. If your wheels are out of balance, the vibration with be speed sensitive. The vibration that this conversation deals with is rpm sensitive. ie: the...

    Brake Lights and More

You might look at Lamoster Garage, he has some Tricled LED sets that are supposed to be pretty nice. He usually has videos show casing his product, how to install, and he stands behind what he sells. David

Calling all 2014-2015 RT owners with "Belt Vibration"

Toby, you might want to do a bit more checking before you do this. There has been some instances of the BRP pulley bearings going bad with in a couple of thousand miles. Doc Humphreys setup uses a double bearing roller. David

Calling all 2014-2015 RT owners with "Belt Vibration"

I read this thread from start to finish, and am surprised that no one has posted the information about the Idler pulley / belt tensioner / vibration dampner that Doc Humphrey's of Roadster Renovations. This is a device that fits on the top of the belt, and will get rid of vibrations you don't...

    The cost of stupidity

To my way of thinking, you did all you could do for situation, and there was nothing you could do to change it. I only hope that you keep the train of thought that you have, if you quit riding it will only hurt yourself. If you keep riding, the situation may arise in the future and you may be...

    Magic Mirrors how to order

Just thought I would ask, when I used their sponsor link here on the forum, I seem to go to and installation page for WordPress, which gives me a mess of errors when I fill out the form. Can anyone help me? Thanks, I sure like to order a set of these magnets. David VonStein

Yes, that was one of my assumptions, when I re-read it, I realize it could e confusing. David VonStein

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

Ok, thank you. Just my opinion, but I'd be a little hesitant to believe all of that. Just seat of the pants mind you, but it seems that no one can come up with a dyno that can actually check a Spyder to get reliable numbers. I would think that if the power falls off as shown in the graph, you...

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

Firefly, where did you get the numbers: My 2015 RT has an 8300 rpm rev limiter, why would the red line be 7,250 rpm. I ask because I'm a relatively new spyder owner, and just don't know. David I think I may have made an assumption or two, but I would be interested in where your numbers came...

Most benefit, muffler or cat bypass?

I've done both, a cat delete to start with which gave me a little more: performance, sound, and gas mileage. I found an exhaust system that PitBull Powersports offers for about half of the others, and I bought it. Now I have more performance, sound, and 45 mpg. For me the big draw back is the...

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

Thanks Bob, doesn't seem to be that much difference, 1500 rpm between the two. I wonder how many rt riders really wind them up, I know the folks I ride with keep them pretty much under 5,000 rpm. Pretty sedate performance. Yep, I'm prejudiced, like my 1330 motor. I just wind mine up as the...

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

Still being rather new to the Spyder world, let me ask, what is the red line of the 990 engine, I know the 1330 has an 8200 rev limiter. Just trying to do a little comparing since I've never ridden a two cyclinder Spyder. David

    Laser Alignment

When did they start doing laser alignments. When I had my 11,000 mile service in October the service manager told me the didn't do laser.
