• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Really good day

Have had a rough couple of weeks at work, so I was really looking forward to doing the Halloween run in Waynesville on saturday. But early this week I received a email for a Patriot Guard ride on saturday. This was for a soldier that had died in the line of duty in Iraq. To top it off those...

    Utopia Back Rest

I am NOT very handy with tools, and I got 99% installed on my own. I got the seat removed, made the cut, drilled the holes. The last part where you line up the post going down thru the seat to the base plate under the seat then screw the 2 together is what stymied me. I had it close enough to...

    product review: Sena bluetooth headset

Quick update: couldn't get it to pair with a Scala :gaah: a google search didn't find anyone that had paired the sena and scala, found several posts where they tried and failed. Was really hoping it would work. Have taken several calls while at highway speeds. Seemed to work very well. I pretty...

    Oil Change

:agree: Mine is one of the others Gary mentions. Many thanks to Gary on doing the oil change. I'm not a mechanical person, and after watching what was involved it's a good thing I didn't try this on my own. I highly recommend Gary if anyone needs to install accessories, general maintenance...

A BIG thank you to "Gary The Badger"

finally got a chance to post a few pictures from Bikes, Blues & BBQ. One here of Gary training a new spyder ryder and one of the BRP area Thank you to BRP in letting us park there, was very handy considering how bad the parking was. Very nice to just pull into the middle of the area and not...

    Bad service and electrical problem

Not sure where you went in OK, but I bought mine from M&W power sports in tulsa. They have done my inspections, fixed my bouncing fuel gauge, and 2 of 3 oil changes. I feel good in recommending them.

Does your Iphone work on the RT?

Assuming you are talking about using the Iphone connection in the trunk thru the audio system. You do NOT have to put the iphone into airplane mode on the RT. In fact doing that blocks some of the best things about using a iphone on the spyder. I have no FM reception issues with the Iphone...

    product review: Sena bluetooth headset

Bought a Sena blue tooth head set while at Bikes, Blues & BBQ yesterday. Thought I would give a short review for those that might be interested. I didn't install it myself ( had the guys in the booth do it while we walked around), but it looks fairly simple. Paired up with my iphone 3gs with no...

Bikes, Blues and BBQ HAPPENING NOW!

Free parking is a good thing, from what I've heard they started charging to park even on the side streets. Looking forward to attending today, just give me a call when you are ready Gary.

    Steering fix and dealer kudos

Not to create a argument (Gary you know I wouldn't do that with you), but I've had two separate experiences with Bradford Marine in Springdale, and both were terrible. 1st time I was ready to buy a spyder (told the salesman those exact words), and they wouldn't let me test drive off the lot...

Analog fuel guage accuracy on RT-S?

The bouncing gauge is NOT normal. Mine was bouncing when I turned the key on, before I even sat down. Had one dealer tell me that was normal, of course this is the same dealer that tried to tell me I didn't have a air shock on the rear. Just had it replaced last weekend (different dealer) and...

    Keeping My Baby Clean

I've been using Armor All Ultra Shine Wash & Wax Detailer ( on recommendation in another thread here on sypder lovers). does great on all surfaces including the windshield, black plastic trim, etc. It's really good at cutting thru the dead bugs and such.

    Alarm for RT

Rider Steve, just my guess, but that's probably just the fancy description of the coded ignition keys. This is a interesting subject though. I've had some hesitation when staying in hotels about leaving the spyder on the lot. I tend to stay in motels where I can park right outside the room...

    2011 spyder rt upgrade suspention

just to preface this, I don't have the long time bike experience that many of the people who have commented on this have. What I do have? A newbie's experience with the RT for 2+ months. So while this is based on limited experience, it's personal experience. I had enough problems with the...

    2010 Photo Scavenger Hunt

re-did mine into a google doc, make it easier to read and such https://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=1StyS7V1BbNzXaAfebeVVVmjMZfYPn6AYU9FIcJHt7HE&hl=en&authkey=CN3J53U added quite a few from the last couple of weekends, some I would considered highlights would be 5. In front of a rocket...

Looking into the future of the RT

dont have anything new to add, lots of people have posted some great ideas. Would like to 2nd a few suggestions: Bluetooth, this is pretty much a standard in most cars now days, should be standard on a top of the line spyder. The turn signal needs reworked, as many have mentioned it's kind of a...

lil' somthing for the camping spyder

Thought this looked pretty cool, if you are into camping and ryding. http://www.nomadtent.com/tents.html It's a tent you can park your bike in. Technically I don't think the RT spyder will fit. Specs on RT are a little longer and wider than the tent's stated size for the bike bay. But it's a 2...
