• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed SCALA Q2 headset and they work great!

:agree: I purchased the multi-set a couple of weeks ago and found the overall performance to be great. (i.e. - ease of use, phone pairing (iphone), battery life (300 mile ride with my wife is like like having an on-board narrator:D)) In fact, when my son called me, he had no idea we were riding!

    PE 1026 is no more

That is by far the gnarliest mod I have ever seen!! Just kidding. Glad to hear no one was injured. Hope everything was covered and you find out what happened!

    Mods + 4 in 1 = FUN

    8. Spyder Original color panels (4 in 1 collection) * Estimated time to replace colored panels (OFF & ON) is about an hour and a half. Now all you need is a revolving license plate and you could really have fun with the local PD! :roflblack:

    risers and turns

Absolutely :agree: Even as a novice rider, I can say that the difference between my first 1k miles without the risers and my second 1k with my NMN 4" risers was a big difference in both comfort and performance. Because I am more comfortable and I am not thinking about the numbness in my...

    Second Ride???

Glad to hear it wasn't a bunch of bugs on the bike and two blonds on the windshield.:doorag:

    grips suck

I installed the gel Progrips about a month ago and have very pleased. Their 'sticky' nature makes it easy to maintain a grip and they have better vibration cushioning than the stock grips.

Nice ride with my son yesterday

Nice job. Sometimes the seemingly small things make the biggest impact on a child's life. My wife and I are both Vets and our son is currently serving in the Corp. May God Bless your sons.

    turned 5000 miles today

My wife and I gave a thumbs up to each other when we crossed the big 2k yesterday.

    CalSci 150 Miles - 2 UP

:agree: Same scenario. I'm only 5'10" and after trying the CalSci large, opted for the XL. They were very helpful and more than willing to exchange. Have same seating and communicators. No problems with front buffeting for either of us.

    Helmet Headsets

I recently purchased the Scala Rider Q2 headsets. Just got back from a 12 hour day of riding with my wife. For my purposes, I must say I am very pleased. Battery life, intercom functionability all exceeded my expectations. While I have not yet paired it via bluetooth to a GPS, pairing to our...

    Corbin Seat mod

Awesome job! :2thumbs: My wife complains of having the same sliding problem with her seat. I may just work up the courage to try the same on hers. Thanks

How do you clean your Spyder?

How do you clean your Spyder? With a bucket, hose, & dish washing liquid? Or do you use a spray-on detailing solution, complete with micro-fiber cloth and soft-bristle brush? Do you clean it after every ride? Or, more importantly, is it clean before every ride? My wife jokes with me as I...

    HJC IS-Max Flip Face Helmet...

I have a Sy-Max II and the Q2 multi rider set. Dude is correct. If you don't mind the mike being right up on your mouth, there's room. (BTW - I had to mount my speakers behind the helmet material to compensate for my . . . let's see . . how does my wife put it . . oh, yeah - dumbo ears.)...

Interesting. Guess this is the love child of when you park a Spyder next to one of those 'rice burners'.

    GIVI Bags Mounting

Thanks for the response. As luck would have it, I wear a medium HJC SyMax II. My concern is - modular helmets tend to be larger than standard full face helmets.

    GIVI Bags Mounting

Looks like you have the V35 Givi's. Do they, as advertised, hold a full face helmet?

    chatterbox or scala

Scala Verses Xbi Scala users - are you using it with a open face, full face or modular helmet? How is the boom mic to deal with when putting on or taking off your helmet? Xbi users - I've been reading that the Xbi is a little 'quirky' in trying to get it paired with other devices. Can each...
