• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Stuck in 5th

Methinks you're going to be a very popular fellow on this here board... ;) Many thanks for your input on this and other issues; it's very helpful, and reassuring, to have a dealer who knows and works on these machines able to offer detailed insights into these things.

    OYSTER RUN

Radgirl and I will try to make it, meeting up at Northgate. May depend on weather or other commitments. We'll know as we get a little closer.

    intercom

Hi, BitSlayer. Could you tell me what settings you are using for the microphone and VOX settings? We're still having trouble with ours. I've turned both of the CB sliders to off (since we're not using the CB yet). I have the microphone slider up to max, and the VOX slider up about two bars or...

If you get the CB Comm system and BRP helmets, then she can say "STOP" out loud. Real loud. :D

spyder replacement parts vs assembly line parts

Related to this is the issue of stocking parts on the U.S. side of the border. My dealer is in Seattle, and some of the parts are coming from Vancouver, B.C., which is about an hour's drive or so away. Yet the parts are flown across the border; stopped by U.S. Customs; then flown to Kentucky for...

    Spyder Sightings

Blue RS, with I believe a lady rider, part of a group of four or five 2-wheelers, heading south on SR3, just south of Allyn, WA around noon today. That's two Spyders in two days!

    Spyder Sightings

Silver/grey RS riding two-up on I-405 at the I-5 interchange in Renton, last Friday at around 7:00 PM. Passenger was wearing a light grey jacket.

How many Spyders do we have in Washington?

:welcome: Glad to see you made it here! Lots of nice folks on this board.

    Error Codes have showed up!

    Good to know, thank you!

    Error Codes have showed up!

I may do that; I was just concerned about it going out completely and going into limp mode or something while out in the backwoods somewhere and having to tow it back. But sounds like it'll last for a while (I only have less than 1000 miles on the machine so far, so not likely to hit your...

    Error Codes have showed up!

Well. My RT's been bitten by the throttle body bug, even though it supposedly had the bulletin fix already done prior to delivery (I picked up the bike fresh out of the crate in early July). After the 600 mile service, I kept getting a Check Engine light on cold start up, along with rough...

Yikes - My wife figured out the total cost!

We had a fair trade: 2011 RT-S for a new kitchen. Everybody's happy now except the bank account...

    Goes Well Together!

Not quite in the same league, but they do share a garage! (Hmm, clearly I don't quite know how to post the pics right...)

    Seeking Spyder Owner's advice

No disagreement on the expense perspective (it is a lot of money if you're uncertain about the overall experience), but I think the Spyder presents a different opportunity for the novice rider. Riding any two wheel bike is going to be harder to learn for a new rider than riding a Spyder...

    Careful with the clock...

    Careful with the clock...

I think the idea was that if you cycle the clock all the way through from, say, 00:01 thru 23:59 and past that, it somehow screws up the computer. Personally I find the whole explanation largely suspect (not the dealer tech's fault, he was just reporting what BRP said during the conference...

    Careful with the clock...

At least that's the answer from BRP, via my dealer... First, the backstory. Purchased the CB Comm system and Entertainment Harness, and had the dealer install them. To do so, they also disconnected the battery (makes sense). When everything was buttoned back up, the clock of course was not set...

    Riders in Monroe area

Hi there! Not quite in Monroe, but in Bothell, so not a tremendous distance away. Welcome to the club! Radgirl and I bought our RT-S at the beginning of July, and are still getting ourselves up to speed. A week or so ago we rode up to Lake Roesiger, so we were a bit north of you, coming back via...

    Spyder Sightings

On vacation (sans Spyder, unfortunately), but while about 40 minutes east of Boise, Idaho, saw a red RS in company with a two-wheeler, heading the other way toward the city.
