• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Me and my MiFi

I've had the MyFi from Verizon for about a year and a half now... love the freedom it provides. Of course, they don't offer iPhones, so I can't go there, but the new one sure is pretty! In a few months, however, I'm going to trade for the new HTC Driod which (supposedly) will give me the same...

    Turns over, now STARTS!

Vapor lock was common on older model vehicles that had an engine mounted fuel pump. With the pump pulling on the fuel in the line between the pump inlet and the fuel tank, if the fuel is hot enough, the lowered pressure in the line (caused by the pull from the pump) was enough to lower the...

San Diego Spyder Ryders Roll Call

Thanks Arjay. Are you in Crosby or in that interesting area south of it - that's going through significant development now, or somewhere else completely? I live in Penasquitos... so not too far. My Spyder resides at my G/F's house in Lemon Grove, however - no more room in my garage, lol. Now...

San Diego Spyder Ryders Roll Call

Thanks to Magic Man's current contest, I see that there are at least 5 or 6 SpyderLovers members in the San Diego area. I'd like to suggest that we all check in here to get acquainted, and then see if we can get some informal weekend (or even weekday - miss the traffic) rides going. Places...

New Contest! Let's have some Fireworks!

San Diego, CA - what I still consider "America's Greatest City". Hey Pincushion, Tripod and Spyder4Fun, we should get together for a ride to Julian or somewhere equivalent.

Expensive NON guarantee, 2nd report from Ireland

Attempt to return to BRP for refund, or exchange if they won't refund. Sell the exchange to the next person in Europe who is in need of a non-warranteed replacement. They can then repeat the process.

    Sears trunks on sale

Bought the medium one for my son's scooter - nice product, easy to mount. One click removeable with a handle to carry around. Full size helmet fits, barely. I'd say a great deal for the price.

    Speed TV impressions

I'm wondering whether this is the typical format for the 'Test Ride' show... bring a few 'experts' together, show a bit of video with them playing with the vehicle du jour, some pretty scenery, poor humor, throw in a few sound bites and product placement pitches and voila, show's over... that's...

So I bought some property in Arizona... AND...

If your road is anything like the 35 mile dirt road to the Skywalk, you should have no trouble at all... I took that road in my Explorer a few months ago, and it's a bit rough but, without traffic, I could have averaged about 45 mph on it, even though it's signed bewteen 15 and 25. I'd take my...

    Speed TV

Saw it, but when I followed links to the Speed website, late last night, it said Spyder... don't know why. Alas, we'll see it when they decide to show it.

    Mixing Oil?

If you have an emergency need for oil, the most important requirement is that the oil is compatible with your Spyder's wet clutch. JASO MA (Motorcycle, wet clutch designation) on the bottle's label guarantees this compatibility. Automotive oils should be avoided unless they display this...

So Bryce, to add a year to my existing 2 year BEST policy (to extend it to the full 3 yrs beyond the stock warranty that BRP allows) will it cost the $579 for the one year OR the difference between a 2 yr and 3 yr policy ($839-$974 = $135), since I already have the first 2 years paid for? If...
