• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    itsy bitty light

Hey guys, when I turn on my RT and am waiting for the safety card screen to come on the dash icons come on and then all will turn off except brake light and oil lamp- all off when ignition is (finally) able to be turned on. Have had no trouble with oil, and not due to be changed for another 1000...

    Helmets?????????

I have always worn a full face helmet, started with it when on 2 wheels and just continued it, so I'm used to them by now. Fully 1/3 of all motorcycling head injuries are to the face and jaw. But to each his or her own, as long as wearing something! Just bought a new full face helmet and the...

    Proper Tire Pressure???

I am running with 20/30 and find that to be fine. However the real difficulty lies with getting any measurement or refill on the rear tire of my RT because of the stem placement. I have a compressor that I can use to fill the front tires but not the rear one! The stem points so that you have to...

    Ride-On for your Spyder

I put Ride On into my tires about 6 wks ago and noticed that they are retaining their air pressure better now also. I have 20 lbs front tires and 30 lbs rear tire. I checked pressure for first time in a couple of weeks right before I went on a trip with the RT and pressures were front 19.5 and...

Riding alone in remote areas - essentials?

bang bang I know my gun won't fit in the glove box (which opens & closes unreliably anyway, so I don't use it). Usually in cargo pants I keep cell phone & wallet, don't think gun will fit in there either, but I'll try it. A shoulder holster would be ok, but these are made to fit men, which...

    got my endorsement

I'm going to an S/TEP class this weekend, and supposed to be only 3 wheels there. I'm looking forward to a bunch more safety tips and did not want to attend a 2 wheel class since the braking, cornering etc are so much different. I'm looking forward to a good time and will use that to get my...

    squeek, squeek

Occasionally hearing some minor squeeks to brakes when applied as I first get out of driveway, but not heard after I have the bike at speed for street or highway. No change noticed in braking capability. Bike has about 3000 miles on it. More experienced ryders: annoyance to be ignored or...

    throttle question

When driving the paddle shifter, are you rotating the throttle closed before shifting and then rolling on again? I find I have this habit from my other days riding 2 wheeled machines with clutches, but don't know if it makes a difference here. ????

    Hurricanes and spyders

Those of you who live in areas frequented by hurricanes, what do you do for your spyders? Just moved from AZ (where there is virtually no rain ever) to an area that can get those big storms. If I had to evacuate I would have to take the SUV with the dogs- not sure where would be a good place to...
