• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sheepskin seatcovers

Alaska leather Been using sheepskins from Alaska Leather for > 10 years. They are very nicely done. And as far as getting them wet, I would argue this is not a problem at all as I spent 74 days on the ocean sitting on these for 10-12 hours a day and they performed admirably well, soaking up...

Bumpskid Options for 2018 RT LTD

If you are close to the US border, there are a few companies that will allow you to ship to a US address and then you can either pick it up in person or have it shipped over the border. The other option is to have it shipped to your Canadian address but the shipping costs are high. See for...

Is the stock 2018 F3 Limited ok for night riding?

Hello all: It seems that many add auxiliary lighting to their Spyder. Is that for night riding or increased day visibility. Is BRP's auxiliary lights a good option for night riding? Thanks JG

Oil topping, when does it start?

Hello all: When I took delivery of my 2018 F3 Limited two weeks ago I was told to check the oil after 1000 kms (about 625 miles). I am now at 1200 kms so i have started to do so. I did it twice and the level is perfect. It hasn't moved at all. I believe I am following the procedure properly...

They ARE watching and tracking us

I think the way it works is as follows: 1. Your browser uses cookies 2. Cookies are stored on your computer 3. Bombardier buys advert space from someone: don't know if it is from Spyderlovers.com or the company hosting Spyderlovers or maybe even the Telco hosting your Internet 4. You can go to...

Spyder is REALLY different - tried test ride, barely made it out of the dealer's lot

I would say I have ridden two wheels about 100k kilometres, about 62,000 miles. I had been watching the Spyder’s ever since they came out. I went to my first test rides with two tips: drive it like a car and easy on the handlebars. It took me literally just a few minutes to be comfortable...

    Farkles are like chips

you can't have only one but if you did, what would it be. I've been going thru this wonderful site for the last couple weeks. I see a lot of good comments on many farkles: bump skid, sway bar, gas cap, etc., etc. In reality I don't know where to start. So my question is: If you could do...

    Handbrake on RT - Opinion

If you need a hand brake for physical reasons then I say go for it. If not, I would say ride the Spyder the way it was intended to be ridden. Before I bought my Spyder I thought I wanted a manual with clutch lever. Then I rode an RT and an F3 and realized the SE6 is quite enjoyable as is...

The 3 wheeled cycle market just got more interesting

I looked at the Spyder for 10 years before buying mine this month. I think one of the reasons I waited is the fact that it doesn't lean and in my mind wasn't really a motorcycle. Now that I have one I really wonder why in the world would I want my Spyder to lean. It is amazing as it is and if...

    Hypothetical Question

+1 I wouldn't spend a dime on new paint. Instead I would consider a trade for a newer/new one or try to live with it for a few more years. I would be concerned that a resale a buyer would be suspicious of an aftermarket paint job and speculate that maybe it was done after an accident.

    COULD SOMEONE PLEASE

What is the pack size and weight. Could one use a compression bag on this? Is this something you can realistically carry with you when on a trip? Or is it a "stay-at-home" item?

    Tried FOBO...didn't like it

TPMS and FOBO may not be the same kind of product. TPMS on my previous bike gave me a reading only once the bike started rolling. Basically it was an alert for a slow leak or upcoming flat tire. So in practice I still needed to check my pressure before leaving which is a good habit to have...

    3M Scotchgard Clear Bra

Has anyone installed 3M Scotchgard Clear Bra on their Spyder. Maybe on the frunk or the whole front of the bike. I washed my Spyder for the first time today and the number of bugs was staggering. I wonder whether longer term cleaning those bugs off will eventually damage the paint / plastic...

Does something change at 5000 miles?

I've had my my Spyder for just a week now, 1000 kms (625 miles) on it and it seems that each time I take it it gets better. Maybe it's all in my mind also but even if it is, it is a good feeling to have
