• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why don't dealers have Laser Alignment Equipment?

Good to hear, I was considering buying one myself and doing a few jobs to pay for it. My understanding though is that you really need BUDS to reset the steering sensor which I wouldn't have or plan on getting.

Yes indeed, please keep us posted on this! Not sure where you live but we all may need to wait a few months for the weather.

I live in Yakima too! We have a 2014 ST-S on order for my wife, it is supposed to be here in late February. Are there many local Spyder owners? Randy in Yakima

    New Side panels

Carl, Just wanted to add my thanks to you for taking on this project and documenting it. Though you did an ST I would imagine the same thing could be done with an RS. We have a 2014 ST-S on order for my wife. I plan to ride a bit and see how I feel about it. If I like it I'll likely abandon my...

    Heated grip install

I should be picking up our '14 ST-S here in a few weeks and will need to ride three hours home over a mountain pass. I'd like to get the BRP heated grip kit and would prefer to install it myself, as I do with all such accessories and basic maintenance. I'd sure like to have them installed for...

    Hand risers

On the 2013 RS I believe one could simply bolt on the ST handlebars which are up and back. Not sure if the earlier RSs have the same mounting bolt pattern or not. Just an idea, certainly someone here with an RS would have tried it.

Earnest Money Waiting List for a 2014

$13,500 in ATV trades against a 2014 ST-S, balance due on delivery. They've already sold the ATVs we traded so we're committed. Anyone know which models will be made first? Seems like I read that the new RT would be delayed a bit, maybe that means they'll run the STs and RSs sooner? SK...

    New SpyderLover sponsor- Rabtech

Proper alignment sounds critically important for a Spyder to handle properly, and our dealers aren't equipped to do it properly. Any way the Admin could create a national directory of laser alignment resources? I see the announcements and my first question is "where are they?". On another...

    Spyder household research

Interesting results: as of this minute the poll indicates that 27% of the couples ride two vehicles, whether that be motorcycle/Spyder or Spyder/Spyder. I bet if you polled Harley or Goldwing groups that number would be lower, probably less than half that.

    Taking a Trip

Which size fits best in the Frunk? I have a couple of two-gallons here and am hoping they will work. Will be looking for some way to mount one of them in the back seat area if possible since my wife and I will each be riding our own vehicles. Anyone come up with a creative way to mount a Rotopax...

    Spyder household research

We just quit ATVing due to a couple of injuries and have decided to get a Spyder for my wife. Though she's ok with riding on the back of whatever street bike I have she prefers to "ride her own". We're getting the Spyder because at age 60 we both just didn't feel like learning to ride a street...

    Saddlebag mount for Rotopax tanks

Just wondering if you ever found a solution. I'll be riding my R1200RT with my wife, at least until I trade it out for an RS-S, on her new Spyder once it arrives and am already concerned about the disparity in fuel range between the two. I have several Rotopax components already including two...

    Reda Vs. Rotopax

Which size? I have two of the 2-gal left over from my ATVs and was hoping I could use it with the Spyder. Alternatively, if riding solo, anyone ever seen one secured externally on a rear rack?

    Temporarily Disable VSS?

Thanks Dan, but what I'm after is a bit less restriction so I can feel more of the vehicle dynamics while still remaining safe. Based on comments in the forum I can see I'm not alone. Also, BRP must be getting the same feedback or they wouldn't have made the following change for 2014... "NEW...

Justin, how do you know this? You must've found a way to disable VSS, please do tell.

    Temporarily Disable VSS?

Just found this old thread after searching around and wondering if anyone ever came up with a way to reduce or temporarily disable VSS. I'm with lamarguy, would love to have it switchable, or at least a seriously reduced setting.
