• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you guys think of these pictures?

Wut? The speed limit is 15? When I was there in July it was 35 I think.

Went and looked at the F6B in person.

That bike is awesome! Love the look. Ive been looking at the new Yamaha FZ-09. Brilliant 847cc 3 cylinder motor. Gobs of power all over the powerband. Wheelies at will. 414 lb wet weight. 51 degree lean angle. $8000 price tag. OMG my license wont last long on this one...

    First Parts Ordered

Hi Flanker, Heres a tip from some crazy Austrailians that might help you change tail lights next time: http://spyderryders.net.au/tips.html I did this trick while doing the rear fender mod.

    Mileage vs Oil Usage

Wut... I could probably get that mileage if the roads are all down hill with 40mph tail winds. When I first got the machine I kept a good record of my mileage on Fuelly. What a pain. It was obvious that was a chore with no benefit but to make me grouchy. And yes, I use oil and need to check...

WILL A MONO SEAT COVER FIT ON CORBIN SEAT

Ive read on here that it does not fit over the Corbin seat. Ive got the Comfort seat and my cowl fits just fine over that one. I find that I also much prefer my Comfort seat over my friends Corbin he has on his Spyder. I find it sits me too far forward anyway where the Comfort mightve actually...

    Spyder vs Road Hazard

Its a good idea on these machines. Our 3 tyres will only straddle small items maybe 4" tall or less with the suspension working. Anything bigger youre gonna nail unless you can safely swerve the whole front end around it. This means a safe following distance on our machines should be much more...

    Spyder vs Road Hazard

Im glad youre ok and posting about this on here. This is a subject I think should be stressed to Spyder ryders... Following distance. You need lots of it IMO. Youve got 3 tyre paths and should the car in front spit out something you need to be able to react or youve got a high chance of...

    Has anyone done this mod????

Motorcycledave, Id cut a slot right in the panel for easy removal of the panel of the saddlebags if possible. Ive already drilled two 1 1/8" holes in the same panel youre talking about so I dont have to remove them to get the lower bat wings off. I see no reason to be removing the tail section...

    Has anyone done this mod????

Your welcome quickster. Im just passing along info Ive learned from others on this site. As far as the mod the original poster asked about putting the battery in the frunk... I wouldnt want it there. I keep a little tool kit in there to get to the battery with no problem. Also oil, funnel...

    Has anyone done this mod????

Sure quickster, this is the exact one I bought at the local Menards. The only thing I wish it had was an adjustable clutch but if you go easy on the trigger that seems to do the same thing almost. Ive had zero problems doing it this way. This also comes with two rechargeable batterys, charger...

    Has anyone done this mod????

Um, two panels to get to the battery, not three. Eight bolts and two plastic rivets. I keep hand tools on the machine so if I have a problem on the road I can check my connections. After you take the panels off a few times its really not bad at all and you can get to pretty much whatever you...

    rs license plate bulb

Lots of banging around going on with that particular light. When I had this issue one of the things I was considering was using a couple LED plate bolt lights. So then if the stock bulb breaks again, you still have the two bolt LEDs...

    extend ryde time

I used the Air-Hawk R on the stock seat for my RS for the first 7000 miles. Its better but still hard on the butt due to the unfortunate shape of the stock seat. Enter Comfort seat. Nice flat sitting surface. Much better but still have aching butt. Might be due to how tenderized my butt already...

    Fenders Gone

Just a mudflap from Pepboys. Highland splash guard 18" x 12" cut to my exact specs. Well not really I just messed around with it. Cut it a few times until I liked it. At first I really thought it wasnt going to work at all but after some work Im kinda happy with it. I wanted a bit more coverage...

    Fenders Gone

Sorry for hijacking the thread! Im gonna post a couple more pics of the cleaned up and better lighted fender as they upload. But first heres a pic of the underside of the fender mounted up with the longer bolt in the original bottom sport rack/rear splash pan and then the license plate screw...

    Fenders Gone

I threw the whole kit on my digital bathroom scale and its a 6.8 lb loss of pure fat. The mounting torx bolts with 10 mm nuts system is a pure joke. I had the right tools and even then its a task of patience and persistence and luck. Torx head bolts have NO BUSINESS putting actual metal...
