• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealership said don’t use 8mm spark plug wires

I actually made my own plug wires and they work great. My local Autozone had a set of Accel 8mm plug wires on clearance that I picked up for $20. Got home and cut 2 wires the length of the stock ones and crimped the ends on. Works great. Seems to run better too. They look identical to BajaRons

    Aftermarket exhaust recommendations

I've got the Two Bros black series muffler. I love the sound, it's a lot deeper and sounds like the vtwin should. I did have the cat bypass but it was really raspy with the stock muffler. I didn't want it too loud because the missus rides 90% of the time with me. the Two Bros was just right...

Best belt tensioner for my Spyder RTS 2013

Rollers with dual bearings can be purchased online for mere dollars that you can upgrade to. That's what I did. No problems on my end.

Best belt tensioner for my Spyder RTS 2013

Or you can get the BRP idler for $40 and get the same benefits. Save some cash for other mods, BRP is only $40. Works for mine!

    2012 RT Exhaust Difficulty

That's what I did first, the cat eliminator, but I didn't like the raspiness it produced with the stock muffler. I put the cat back on and installed a Two Bros black series muffler and love the way it sounds. Not too loud, very deep tone and really barks when you twist it tight. Sounds like a...

    Oil for 2011 rts se5?

I use Valvoline 4T Stroke Full Synthetic oil in my 2010 RT. I get it at Advance Auto for $6.99/quart and it has worked great. It has the 2nd lowest amount of moly with Amsoil being the lowest. I used Amsoil one year and while it worked good also, I had to add more oil throughout the season. I...

Which is the best Belt Tensioner for an F3 LTD?

You stated "doubtful" but have you ever tested to see if any additional stress was caused by the bracket kit? Anyone knows that if you extend something it will have more stress in the middle or pivot point. That's pure physics. And the issues with the roller, it a simple fix...... take the...

Which is the best Belt Tensioner for an F3 LTD?

I feel like the bracket that the RT owners install with the BRP idler is causing some of these premature failures. The farther out the idler is placed, the more tension and load is placed on the roller itself. Not to mention the added movement of the arm at the pivot point. I personally have the...

More info on Doc's belt tensioner.

Seems like these higher priced tensioners require maintenance and replacements that cost the consumer even more money even thought they are 5 times more expensive than the BRP version.

More info on Doc's belt tensioner.

Hmm, I've heard from numerous people that there were never any problems with these belt tensioners. Makes me feel better that I modified my BRP idler. At what those "best and greatest" tensioners cost, it's hard to justify when they break too.

    Doubts with battery charge

Use a solar charger with at least 5 watts output. Since you can't use the outlets this is your best option. Make sure to get one that has a "float" feature once the battery is full. I've used one on mine for several years and have never had a problem with low voltage

    Belt Stabilizer

I have the BRP idler on mine, no issues and it works fine. I have upgraded the pulley to a double bearing for longevity. I had a lot of vibration since i have the ISCI floorboards, the BRP cured the belt vibration i felt in them.

    BRP idler with RR roller?

So I'm being a jerk because I refuse to believe this product is the best and only option for our machines? Some people are very gullible. If it works for you, fine. Doesn't make me a jerk to want to make a custom piece myself and not have to spend 5 times what BRP provides. Glad you all have...

    BRP idler with RR roller?

Ok, I'm not trying to change your mind or sway your decision. I simply came here to ask if anyone has done a roller swap on the BRP arm. There is no "controversy". As far as trying to gain customers, it isn't the right thing to do but that's your call and your decision. I'm sure there's other...

    BRP idler with RR roller?

No the vibration isn't bad at all on my 2010 RT, but since I have the ISCI floorboards I can feel more vibrations through them. They are mounted to the frame without any rubber isolators. I was mainly asking if anyone had swapped Doc's roller onto a BRP idler. His roller is nicer and he says it...

    BRP idler with RR roller?

Maybe to gain a customer? But that's his decision. I like to custom design my parts too when it's possible. That's what makes everyone's ride unique. But if he won't sell the roller just because I haven't bought the $200 kit, I'll just do without. Like I said the problem is the vibration is an...

    BRP idler with RR roller?

I understand that but what difference does it make what I do with it if I just buy the roller? I could be using it for anything just like anyone could use the idler for any custom application. I'll see what Doc says about selling it to me without his idler and if he doesn't it will be his...

    BRP idler with RR roller?

Seriously?! Why would he only sell the roller if you have his idler?
