There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So I'm being a jerk because I refuse to believe this product is the best and only option for our machines? Some people are very gullible. If it works for you, fine. Doesn't make me a jerk to want to make a custom piece myself and not have to spend 5 times what BRP provides. Glad you all have disposable incomes and don't mind filling pockets of others. I don't have funds to spare for overpriced pieces, that's why I do want to custom my own pieces. Doc's idler isn't the end all of vibration dampers, he hasn't said that but more than a few here truly believe it. There's always other ways to find a solution. I'll just do my own research.

Not a lot of pocket filling going on........we clear about $40 on each unit. We could make it cheaper with crappier components and make more money, but there are already enough of those out there. It was developed for my RT & F3 and I did not cut any corners in quality.

True, but the fact that one of the other entrepreneurial suppliers is out of stock with his RT dampers may, in my speculative thinking, indicate the competitive pressure on the market of Doc's version.

Since Doc stated that he will not sell you one, just do what I did and convert BRP's roller that you have to a two bearing one. That's what I did. It's been great since then with no addition noise and no noticeable wear on the belt. Total parts ran under $30, but the labor was free (friend and mine).

But the more & the longer you carry on after he's politely told you that he won't sell you a roller for what you've told him you want to do; after he's patiently & politely explained & shown you/all of us why he won't/doesn't want to sell you one when you rudely persisted; after he's still politely refused repeated requests & increasingly impolite pressure from you as well as attempts from you to embarrass or otherwise force him into selling you something that he clearly doesn't want to & there's no real reason for him to say anything more than 'No' for the matter to be closed anyway..... then surely the closer you get to really warranting that label! :lecturef_smilie:
So why don't you just leave it instead of digging yourself deeper & doing even more to warrant that label?? As others have suggested, there's easier & more polite/less jerk-like ways of achieving what you want? So what exactly do you expect to gain from buying HIS product, especially since you are now denigrating it so much??? Well, maybe that question should be what exactly are you after apart from confirming the label that you are already feeling there is such a need for you to deny?? :dontknow:
