• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Recurring limp home mode

BRP finally called today and said they would cover the entire throttle body but I had to pay for the labor. Not too bad, I'm glad they agreed to step in at all. Only bad part, it will be a week to a week and a half for the part to come from Canada but at least it should run like a new...

    Recurring limp home mode

Dealer called and said the problem is with the throttle body. Waiting on a call from BRP on whether to clean or replace the TB. And if they will authorize a goodwill repair. Emissions warranty is out so no chance there. Will know before close today or first thing in the morning. :sour:

So when you do the key cycle, do you turn it quickly on and off or wait until the screen boots and then turn off? I mainly did the sequence of waiting about 5 minutes and restarting and everything was good until I shut it off and then restarted. It went into Limp mode 3 seperate times in the...

    Recurring limp home mode

I took it to my local dealer and dropped it off Wednesday amd,was told it would be 2 1/2 to 3 weeks just to be looked at. So I called the dealer I purchased from about an hour away and they had a slot open on Wednesday 13th so I took it yesterday and dropped off. So I should have an answer this...

    Running rough?

Yes, the engine light did come one. At one point I had to keep giving a little throttle at stops to keep it from dying.

    Running rough?

My 2010 RT did the same thing last year. I tried injector cleaner and fuel treatment but it ended up being the 2 small hoses from the MAP sensor to the tthrottle body. Couldn't see the cracks until they were pulled off. Replaced both hoses and ran like new.

    Recurring limp home mode

Well she's in the shop now. Service said that with my mileage that anything to do with the TB or TPS should fall under the emissions warranty. Good news to hear. Was told that it would be assessed in the morning and will be informed on what BRP will have them replace. Hopefully it will be the...

Where are you riding this weekend?

Awesome pics! Not riding much this weekend but we did have a trip scheduled for next weekend to Gatlinburg TN and was hoping to go up and hit the Cherola Skyway. But we had some issues saturday with limp mode and shutting down due to codes pertaining to the TB and TPS. I doubt my service guy...

    Recurring limp home mode

Hoping I can convince my service dept to try to get my a repair on the TB or TPS on goodwill from BRP. They did this when i had the scoops installed for the heat issue. Anyone have any tips on how to maybe obtain a goodwill fix easier?

    Recurring limp home mode

Wow, did you decide to not worry about the fix and just trade up? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to replace the part?

Yeah, I agree. I feel like doing that has possibly got the TPS setting off and now it's causing me problems. Hopefully a reset by BUDS will get me going.

    Recurring limp home mode

Ok, I talked to my service guy again and he suggested resetting the TPS sensor with BUDS. So I'm going to take it in and give it a try. If not he said that it's possible they could try to get a goodwill fix to replace the TB. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I also had a spare key that I had cloned hidden on the spyder under the Tupperware beside the airbox. Could it have been close enough to the ignition to cause a the problem?

    Recurring limp home mode

I just do that so it basically gives it a little has so it doesn't stumble and make it hard to start when it's hot.

    Recurring limp home mode

I the same issue with starting hot. I have a terrible habit of twisting the throttle about 1/8" and hitting the start button so it doesn't stumble when it is hot. Perhaps this is why I'm having a problem. Because I did do this 2 times before the problem happened.

    Recurring limp home mode

Ok, hopefully so because I know the TB replacement will be expensive. I had read one post where the dealer reset the TPS with BUDS and all was good. Said the sensor didn't reset all the way or had gotten out of sync for some reason. Do you think disconnecting the battery will clear the computer...
