• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    We're Shopping Tomorrow...

Not hearing from Bob could be a good thing- he's out driving it with a big **** eating grin on his face, Or a bad thing- He's back at the stealership with his hands around the salesman's throat telling him the cabinets fell off....

Headlight Bulb replacement on 2013 ST Limited

It's not just our Spyders that are made by tiny elves. I couldn't believe the tight circle cut into sharp sheet steel that you have to fit your hand into to get to the taillight bulb on my Toyota FJ Cruiser. It's not a small SUV either. Couldn't get any part of my hand, just my fingers into that...

For those of you with an Amazon Acct

Maybe yes, maybe no. But was it true or accurate what the OP posted? That's what everyone is trying to determine. He could have received his information from a spoof or phishing email.

For those of you with an Amazon Acct

Good advice Ron. One other thing you can do to see if it's a fake account and not from Amazon (or Apple, etc.) is to hover your cursor over the "From" address line. If when you do this you see a very long web address that doesn't make sense as to being from Amazon, it's a fake email. You gotta...

Yes. A claim would be through the vehicle's insurance policy.

Trailering a Spyder on an open trailer

I have found that you should check your tie-down job after 15 minutes of first setting off on your trip. If you did something wrong, it most likely will start showing up as looseness then. If nothing is loose at that check stop, you're probably good for the rest of the journey. But I still give...

Trailering a Spyder on an open trailer

Mazo's comment about the mud flaps made me think about how some open trailers have flat walls partially up the front and maybe wrap around the sides a bit. Like maybe 18-24" high only should do it to add some extra peace of mind for any road debris that could be kicked up. I mention this only...

Trailering a Spyder on an open trailer

I've done a lot of trailering bikes on an open trailer and never covered them because of others having had issues with the covers flapping and damaging their paint. I never covered any switches or electronics, and never had any issues, but others here have said the Spyder ignition switch...

So where is the ECU on your RT?

That's probably as high a spot they could have put it which is a good thing. It should stay nice and dry there out of the rain and water splash. Think of the thread here about the Spyder in the Texas flood.

Question for those who trailer their Spyder

I do know that as said previously under inflation is not good and will create a lot of heat. BUT, what I've done with 50psi max trailer tires is run them at 40psi. I've found this is optimal for a smooth ride with an 800 lb motorcycle on it. I've made approx. 8 highway runs of between 300 to...

    Where's he at?

:agree:An excellent analogy and endorsement to the "ignore" button feature. When you have someone on your "ignore" list, and they post on a thread you are involved in, where their post is, is now a thin section that says : "XYZ has posted. He is on your ignore list. click here to view his...

Refused to sell me a tire..........

Late to this discussion I know. But back about 3 or 4 years I was interested in getting whitewall M/C tires for my BMW bagger. I knew Dunlop made them and there was a joint Harley/BMW motorcycle dealer near me so I inquired there. Now, the H-D baggers and my BMW were the same weight and had the...

Jeez. Relax..... Well, YOU did ask for NEW ideas....Be careful what you wish for. The more I ponder the original question, the more I'm of a like mind with slowpoke. As much as I love/loved all my dogs, I wouldn't risk it. Not just talking about crashes. Other things can go wrong while away...

    Spyder went under water

If it's insured, why mess with it? Electrics and electronics are the things that could be unreliable now or in the future. Also rust will show up on parts. Say you do seemingly save it and a year later all sorts of issues pop up. Insurance may balk, saying it was "fine" after the flood since you...
