• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tilting Trikes body kit for Ryker

Kind of a misleading thread title. :) I thought it was about a tilting trike.

Anyone Install Ryker Super Loud 131 DB air horn?

Almost any horn of real size and noise needs a relay to operate at its best.

    What maps do you use?

I started my digital maps using Delorme Street Atlas, which I loved, to decide on a route, and then used MapSource, now BaseCamp, to set it up and send it to my Garmin GPS. Street Atlas worked great, but Garmin bought it and then quit any updating. Street Atlas was so much better to use to plan...

Need to find a warranty company

JMO of course, but if I felt like I couldn't buy something without a warranty, I'd be looking for something else. If a vehicle is so inherently unreliable so as to not be owned without a warranty, that is a huge warning sign to me. But that's how I feel about most everything. The last vehicle I...

What type of coolant should I use?

"Why screw around with anything else?" Because it's $10 for a quart and it's no better/different from the stuff that costs that much for a gallon. I just consider it a slight push against unreasonable price gouging.

Tranny Slipping? Or is it just the oil?

If it were mine, I wouldn't ride it anymore until it's fixed.

What type of coolant should I use?

IMO unless you thoroughly flush the OEM coolant stay with the preferred type. You mix the orange and green coolants at your peril. They can clump and cause serious issues. I don't feel that OEM is necessary, just the proper type.

Torque settings for the rear rotor, caliper, and axle nut on 2013?

Peggy's 2013 STS-SM5 specifies 166 lb.ft. exactly as the above stated: one place is 166 lb.ft. and the other place states 96 lb.ft. I went with 166 lb.ft. when I adjusted the belt location.

    Torque axle vs Torque nut

Don't forget when you're tightening to a stated setting that setting is while the nut is being tightened, not when you put the wrench on the nut and read the torque reading. If the nut doesn't move, you've not got the actual torque setting, due to the friction of the nut/bolt thread...

O'Reilly's and Advance Auto Pars have kits to loan out that screw the pistons back in too. Free to use.

Preferred Oil vs Preferred Tire choice?

Oil and tire threads are common throughout the automotive/motorcycle forum world. However oil threads generally get more rambunctious than tire threads. Many posters are vehement about their lubricant choices, but tend to be a bit more lenient with the roundy black things.

Torque settings for the rear rotor, caliper, and axle nut on 2013?

Just an error in the printing. The actual torque is supposed to be 166 lb.ft. It would appear that they didn't get the manual updated in both places.

Oil leak 2021 400 miles HELP

I have never taken a vehicle to a dealer voluntarily. But if I spent $20,000-$25,000 for a new vehicle and something appeared to be wrong, and I was not an experienced motorcycle/Spyder mechanic, I would return it post-haste.
