• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas Stablizer

Stabilizer Actually I have an old bottle of 'Maxium' stabilizer, not Sta-Bil, but I will be buying a new bottle of Sta-Bil tomorrow. That is what I used in all my other bikes. The bottle of Maxium was one that my recently deceased son had in his garage for his bike, so I really don't know how...

    Gas Stablizer

I have a bottle of gas stabilizer (unopened) in my garage that is about 8 years old. Anyone know if these additives would still be good after that long? I'd hate to but it in my Spyder to keep the gas fresh, only to find out the additive is stale!!

    GAS Octane

Filling up One question I have for the forum panel: Most pumps where I live have all three grades of gas coming from a single hose at the pump. If I select 91 oct, anyone know approx. how much 'leftover' lower grade gas I may be getting when I follow someone at the pump that used 87 oct.? If...

    Cold Weather Ride

Kwalsh, where is 'up here', and what are you riding now? Would the 2014 ST be a replacement for your current ride, or a ride for the wife? Anyhow, good luck!!

    Cold Weather Ride

Cold Ride Did a cold ride today also. 28 degrees when I left the house at 8:00, but with layered cloths and heated grips I felt great. What's the coldest temp. that you have ridden in? Mine was 22(f) degrees, when I was asked to do a Blessing for the ground breaking of a new Harley...

    Made some new friends

JoAnn, how are you and Trung doing? I know you had a hand brake installed for him. Has he been driving the Spyder? If so, what does he think of it? Hope to see you guys when the weather gets warm again. I took a 100+ mile ride today and although it was 28 degrees when I left the house, the...

    Made some new friends

today! I took the Spyder out for gas this evening since I plan on riding tomorrow. I pulled in behind a car and stopped to pump gas, when the driver of the car got out with this look on her face like she just saw a ghost. She came back and asked me what this thing was, since she had never...

    The Covered Bridge

Covered Bridge We had a record flood in 1972. The bridge sustained a lot of damage and had to be rebuilt. As far as I know the deck was reused as well as the main stress beams (arch). They had to do repairs to the sides and the roof, but for the most part the old bridge was rebuilt using...

    The Covered Bridge

Too early to tell if the bridge can or will be rebuilt, as this just happened this morning. The initial estimate for replacement is $1 million. We live in a rural county with a rather small population, so we may not have the funds available for such a project. Even if it is decided to...

    The Covered Bridge

that I have behind me in the picture on my posts, was destroyed today by fire. The bridge was built in 1889 and known in Pennsylvania as the Delville Bridge. The fire was arson!!!! Some lowlife just had to destroy a piece of history for no reason at all. Sorry, but I feel down today!

    mpg

My wife and I did a similar trip on the PA turnpike a couple of weeks ago. Did between 65 and 70 mph for about 120 miles. Filled up the next day, got my standard 40 mpg. I may be due to my wife's pedaling!! Can't just have her sit back there! She needs to do something in order to ride...

    mpg

3,000+ miles on my 2014 RT-S. Averaging right around 40mpg, figured using total miles and gallons used over the live of the vehicle, not each separate fill up. Most riding 2 up (wife won't let me out of the house without her on the Spyder ;)) Very pleased!

    I've seen some recent Posts...

Recent Posts I'm new to the Spyder world, and WEB Forums. I really love the Spyderlovers Forum but have made only a few posts. It's a great place to see what's going on with our Spyders and I have learned quite a bit from the forum. I started a thread the other day that went sour very...
