• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have no other pictures, wasn't present for the process. I took the spYder to dealership, they did the work, I drove it home. I'm not a techie or mechanic.

    hydraulic hand activated brakes.

For those living in Western New York or Northwestern PA. Pioneer Motorsport in Chaffee, NY designed and installed a hand brake system for me. This is a very nicely designed and fitted addition. Using the hand brake, also activates the normal brakes and thus there is no difference in the ABS or...

    Fuel gage misreading

I won't get into an airliner disaster speculation here, or anywhere for that matter, BUT the possibility of faulty instruments is why we have back up systems on airliners 3-7 layers deep. To rely on a motorcycle fuel quantity gauge as a definitive instrument is counterproductive to reality...

    Fuel gage misreading

With the experience of over 30,000 hours of flight time, hundreds of thousands of vehicle driving miles, including motorcycles, I NEVER take the indications of a gage/gauge as definitive measurement. Indications of an electronic or mechanical instrument, to me, are relative to experience and gut...

I had a Mustang seat on my Virago 1100 and it was excellent. If they see a market, I'd bet they produce a seat. ---leo---

How about some good Spyder news

The only machine I loved more than my spYder was my airplane. I find any excuse to take the spYder on the road. My physical limitations don't let me rack up big miles -- but ALL my rides are on twisty mountain roads and I thoroughly enjoy the spyder ryding. I have had no issues with the machine...

That is our indoor riding arena. However, these days it is more a place to park tools and toys. We have 4 horses, but our riders have all moved away. Right now, the 4 horses are way up on the mountain pasture. They look really nice up there.:chat:

OK, these pix won't satisfy you techies, but I wasn't there for the part where the panels were all off. But here's what I see. There is the master cylinder and lever, there is a slave cylinder and rYder's overview. I am now rYding with more confidence and safety.

We brought home our spyder this afternoon, serviced and ready for a summer of ryding. I now have a beautifully installed hydraulic hand brake on the right bar. After a ryde several times around the dealership parking lot, this solves the problem of right bum leg/foot. Depressing the hand brake...

Deb, you may recall that I have a problem with my right leg and foot that makes it difficult for me to actuate the foot brake. The service tech has come up with a couple of mods that we hope will solve the issue. When finished, I'll describe the changes and post pictures. ---leo---

On Saturday, we delivered the spYder to our dealer for some service and custom work. I'm having spYder withdrawl. The barn just doesn't look right without the spyder in there. I hope it comes home next week. Details and pictures to follow. ---leo---

I like the slider also and plan to keep it and change them as conditions warrant. I now own 4 windshields, can't seem to part with any of them. Is that a sickness? :lecturef_smilie: ---leo---
