• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mustang seats

We met only nice folks at Americade this weekend, all asking questions, of course, about the Spyder. Nobody making any negative comments. A great, relaxed atmosphere.

Though I didn't see many Spyders (we were only in attendance at the very end) we met Vinny from Mustang Motorcycle Seats who is getting a Spyder and he said there were many in attendance.

He also said they were working on a seat for the Spyder.

No idea if "working on" means it will be available any time soon...:dontknow:

I've had Mustangs on other bikes. They produce an excellent seat!

That surprises me, I called them when I first got my spyder and they said NO WAY would they ever nor in the future make a seat for the spyder.

Yeah...It's funny, 'cause I drove past their big vendor area a dozen times without stopping since I knew there'd be nothing to look at for the Spyder.

The rep just happened to be staying at our hotel, and we got in a conversation about it.

Certainly, just like with NMN, a company can say "it's not worth it" because there are so few Spyders, or they can say "There are more Spyders every day--I can fill a need and I'd have very little competition."

We'll see.

Vinny goes way back to the Corbin days of making seats and I'm sure if they come out with one it will be a quality product.

I spoke to the people at Mustang Seats during the Thunder Beach Rally in Panama City Beach Fl and they did not have any clue about a seat forthcoming from Mustang -- their products sure looked good and I would seriously consider one of their seats if the produce one for the :spyder:. I just hope it comes out soon because the wife has said yes to risers and seat later this year. So I am trying to decide which seat to order - I already know which risers I will be getting (NMN).

I had a Mustang seat on my Virago 1100 and it was excellent. If they see a market, I'd bet they produce a seat.

Heres my ol' Sporty with a Mustang seat. Extremely well built and comfortable.

Still kickin' myself or selling it..

I had a meeting with Mustang back in 2006 about making seats for the M109R. They looked it all over and spent a lot of time with us. In the end the seat never happened. I wouldn't hold your breath on a Spyder seat. nojoke
