• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mirror Extensions

If it's the Kewlmetal ones, they must have just raised their prices! Or perhaps he's including shipping. I'm very happy with this mod too. I really couldn't see much of nothing before. Now I have a clear view.

What is the more comfortable seat?

I have the Corbin and am not that impressed with it, but I've never ridden on the stock so can't make a comparison. The Corbin is definitely slicker. You slide around on it more in turns, and I tend to slide too forward and always have to push myself back. But I was talking seats with someone...

    12,000 miles service price

I've known 2 people who's oil was overfull after getting it changed at Teds.... so you might want to check it. One of them, it wasn't even changed. When her husband went to remove the extra, it was completely opaque black. I'm glad my husband can do this work. (He's an auto technician)...

Crush washer & O ring sizes for oil change

I didn't forget about pictures, I just couldn't find where my husband put the darn things when I got home (he works nights). I will still try to get a close up for you.

Crush washer & O ring sizes for oil change

I purchased some from the dealer yesterday, and I can post pictures when I get home this evening. I paid $1.99 each for the crush, and $.90 each for the o.

Slight but continual metalic sqeele while riding

Coincidentally, I experienced this yesterday. Mine's an '08 SM5 I just purchased (a month ago) with 553 miles on it at the time. The brakes were squealing loudly from the first time I drove it, plus the power steering wasn't working. Got both those problems finally fixed yesterday (new DPS unit...

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

Had my service done today. New brake pads all the way around, no charge. The loud obnoxious squealing upon braking is gone, but now there's a slight squealing when I'm coasting slow through a curve, with no brakes applied whatsoever, foot not even on the pedal. Hubs thinks maybe a bent...

    St Charles Harley Davidson

Took my Spyder in there this morning because I needed a safety inspection, and they were the closest place open. Actually, one of the ONLY places open... The first 2 places I called that do state inspections on motorcycles were both closed on Mondays. Anyway, they made a good impression on me...

Been awhile since I been here

Sending many good vibes that you'll continue to beat cancer. That person's comment would have pissed me off. Real bike indeed. And she's a passenger in a van. I would have asked her "What do you ride?"

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

Thanks to everyone who responded. I sent an email to [email protected] this morning, and Carlos has already gotten back to me. He said there was no TSB, but BRP will cover it, the service department can verify it by calling. I was very impressed that the company would respond to me so...

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

Well I haven't found it after a week of looking, so perhaps it is a myth. I guess I'll try calling BRP myself.

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

I don't see a link to the service bulletin there? Can someone help me? I would like to read the bulletin and know what it says before I go in and get BS'd by the service manager Tuesday. thanks.

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

I've done a search here and Google, but can't find it. Got an appointment Tue at the dealer, and already on the phone could tell I'm in for an argument over whether they will do anything under warranty. I bought an 08 with only 550 miles on it 3 weeks ago, and it was squealing like an old...

Do Spyder's and dogs get along?

As if the spyder doesn't turn enough heads on it's own! That's great. How do the dogs like it?

    Graphics decal sets

I finished this application. For anyone else interested, thought I would report on my experience. I called the company to find out if I had ordered the right product, because there was some confusion (to me at least) on the website on color selection. I failed to notice small print on the...

First 1500 mile review for potential buyers

:agree: As a former HD rider too, I agree with everything you said, except I haven't ridden mine in the rain yet! But I'm a little jealous of it... When I used to be the middle-aged woman getting off a big HD, that surprised people, the attention was all on me. Now the attention is all on...

    Harley's Future

HD filed a patent on a 3-wheeled leaning trike with 2 wheels up front, in '06 or '07. Don't know if they'll ever put it into production, but I'd sure be interested in it if they did. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/06/01/harley-davidson-leaning-trike-patent-application/
