• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

R.I.P. Spyder 2683 up in flames

I am betting on a loose fuel line. Mine was leaking before I changed out the clamps. Maybe the evap cannister but less likely.

    Quest for More Power...

There is also a high compression drop-in piston available. From what I understand the thing holding back the most power are the stock CAMS. Ken sells both the piston and aftermarket CAMS.

    Sprocket replaced?

What goes bad with the sprocket? Teeth get worn down?

    Shock Setting

Front tire wear is not going to be affected by shock settings. On the Spyder it is purely a Toe setting that affects wear. Many are set to Toe-Out and they wear quickly on the inside edges. I have mine set to slight toe-in and it handles better and only half worn at 18K miles. I have been...

    02 Modifier Poll

Looks like it is a landslide for those who like the O2 modifier. The only person I know of that was not completely happy was Lamonster but he only had an exhaust at the time.

    Windshield cleaner?

Plexus works awesome but somewhat pricey!

    Ground issues?

The bolts that hold the gas tank on work well for a ground.

    Best exhaust on the market?

Almost 20K on the Leo Vince. Great exhaust and holding up great. I get many compliments on the sound. Some say it sounds like a Ducati.

Question for Harley, Honda, Yammy riders:

Mine was fine for the first year. Then got louder and louder until finally the bearing failed and most internals replaced at over $4K cost. Luckily I had a month left on warranty. MAKE SURE TO CHANGE THE BELT TENSION BEFORE THIS HAPPENS TO YOU!

    Brake Fluid Change?

My dealer wanted 4hrs x 2 people to do the change. Can you say $800! They said because of the nanny the system is more sensitive and needed to be done. I will probably do the change myself shortly as it cannot be a 4 hr job. Then I get to trailer it to the dealer for them to hookup to BUDS.

For those with Juice Box Pro... Need feedback

The JB does not have the capability to enrich the mixture everywhere. The O2 modifier helps enrich one of the areas the JB is unable to. The JB PRO may eliminate this but not much feedback yet....

    Removing rear wheel?

Just make sure when you go to tighten the rear axle bolt to pull back on the tire to seat the adjusters otherwise the tire will be crooked and/or the belt tension will be incorrect.

    Rear Tire Pressure/Life

Tire pressure does not appear to help the infamous center wear problem. At speed the center of the tire balloons and therefore wears quicker. Aftermarket tires tend to wear more evenly and ride better too!

    Rear tire replacement

If you remove the rear shock bolt at the bottom you do not have to readjust the belt. It is fairly easy to do and there are several posts on here with detailed instructions.

Just ordered a new rear "car tire"

I feel the Toyo rides smoother than the stock tire. Does the Ecsta ride as smooth as the Toyo?

    Eccessive exhaust fumes.

Mine does the same thing. Had gaskets replaced and still smell the exhaust but only when I let off the throttle. Not sure if when I let off the exhaust gets sucked forward by the circular wind pattern created by the large windshield or what. I have Leo Vince exhaust which is a bit shorter and...

    Hit a deer tonight.

I find a loud exhaust tends to help keep them at bay. While you can still hit a deer while riding with a loud exhaust the chances are minimized.

B.E.S.T. Warranty special pricing just for you!

Does anyone know the details of what the "PLUS" portion of the warranty covers? All I can find is 600Mile and "yearly service". What does yearly service include? I'm assuming valve checks, break fluid replacement, etc. are not included?

    Exhaust questions??

What pipe is this? Is this the exhaust that comes with the turbo?

    Useable downforce

If your serious about faster cornering speeds a wing is not going to help much. Better shocks, better swaybar, a 4th wheel would help a bunch, even a set of training wheels would probably help more than a wing. I think it would look cool though so I am all for what you come up with. Good...
