• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How wasteful the older generation has been

Let's not forget about the pollution in our lakes, rivers and streams. This has improved dramatically since the 60's and 70's thanks to legislation like the clean water act. Unfortunately most of these improvements are in the US and not world-wide. 70% of the rivers in China are polluted...

ipad is very limited on the RT

When the Ipad says "not charging" it means it's not charging because the screen is on. When the screen shuts off it will charge. Says the same thing when plugged into USB on laptop.

    ?Dampening question?

Mostly noticed it during aggresive cornering. The toe is a simple fix and many have come upon the issue. The risers make a huge difference as well. You want to make sure you DPS is working too. You can always pull the DPS fuse to see if that makes any difference. If not, your DPS may not be...

    ?Dampening question?

I had the same issue. I set the toe on the tires to slight toe-in. This made it night and day better. Then I added handle bar risers which gives you much more leverage.

Harley Trike to Spyder Need the facts :-)

I know when they add a dirtbike motor to an ATV it vibrates to the point they need counterbalancers. So, maybe the 3rd wheel adds to the vibration on the Spyder. Anyone notice a difference on the HD trike vs the bike?

Tire Wear Issue - Possible Alignment problem

I don't buy the aggresive rider or crown in the road excuse. Aggresive riding may cause the outer edge to wear a bit but not the inner edge. If you change to a slight toe-in I can guarantee you will not have edge wear. Also, it corners easier and handles better. The easiest thing for the...

Hit the power button twice and it will go from speaker to FM Transmitter. That is the easiest way to mute the speaker.

    2442cc v-6 developing more than 240 hp and 160 lb/ft of torque,

I say 3-wheel drive where the power is dispursed equally until you get going above 20MPH. Then we get Bias towards the back for better handling.

    Cross Wind handling

The Toe settings on the front make a big difference with crosswind. I have found the more toe-out makes the Spyder track straight regardless of wind. However, it does turn/handle better with toe-in. Toe-in will also help alleviate imperfections in the road surface from affecting your...

Ball Joints - Needs 4 replaced at 30,000km?

If there is no play in the joints then they do not need to be replaced. You do not need to jack up the front end to check. Just push and pull on the front and back of the wheel to check for freeplay.

Handle Bar rasiers or not? how much?

I think risers are a must for just about any height. With the ESI ones you can sweep them back or have them straight up so you can customize it how you like. You get a ton more leverage and that makes riding more comfortable. Once you do risers you will benefit from mirror extensions. There...

    So excited!!!

I have found even for shorter riders that risers make a huge difference in leverage, cornering, and comfort. I 2nd the mirror extensions as well. A Larger windshield also makes the ride more enjoyable. The adjustable ones are nice if you need to cool off when it gets hot. Aftermarket...

    traction control?

The guy who tipped his in a parking lot was doing donuts until he hit a pothole going sideways. I say give it a shot to see how it goes. Just remove the sensors on all 3 wheels and tie them to the frame. Then unplug fuse for DPS. I would start with some slow speed tests to see how it...
