• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    NBV-FBV...Say what?

I would be interested in a new bracket that would work on my 2011. I love my NBV's but riding the Vulcan has made me wish I could get my legs out a little farther on the RT. Good luck with another great idea!

    MAINTENANCE PLAN

I am on my second dealer maintenance plan and, for me, it has been worth it. The first plan paid for 6 services - 4 'minor' and 2 'major' in two years. Since I was logging a lot of miles I used those services up in 14 months! My second plan covers more service - unlimited - for 2 years and...

Ultimate seat or BRP comfort seat for an RT

I replaced my Comfort seat with an Ultimate Tall Boy. Both are comfortable but I had a Utopia backrest which left little room for a passenger. For me, the Ultimate is great and I can ride all day with it. I also put one on my Vulcan 900 and have no regrets.

Ultimate seat or BRP comfort seat for an RT

To be fair, no seat is waterproof. Many seats use a plastic barrier under the cover to keep the foam dry which sucks when it is really hot. I have had no problem with rain on my Ultimate Tall Boy.

Ultimate seat - is the backrest easily stolen? What do you do to stop that?

I have taken mine off overnight but haven't thought about it any other time. I also have an Ultimate on my Vulcan and never pull that one off. Guess it depends on where you are at ...

    Durango, Colorado

I stayed at the Best Western - it was OK but the AC was poor ad it is old. I think they have some nicer places on the edge of town. Hopefully, the temps will be a little lower (every day we were there it was over 100) and there won't be fires in the area. Great place to ride, for sure!

Woot!! Just signed the papers at the bank for my 2014 Cognaq RTS!!

Nice, Doc! You will have to remember to not look for the blue one in the parking lots now.

    Audio issues?

I would think the volume level would change in the AUX position because the strength of the signal to the amp is different. Use the volume level on your phone and then fine tune with the volume control on the screen.

    Quick change seat??

If you are going to spend the money on a new seat, upgrade to an Ultimate or Corbin. The backrest brackets are not add on but are designed into the seat.

Trying to decide about Ultimate seat for my new 2014 Spyder RTS to be coming soon

I had the BRP Comfort seat with the Utopia backrest on my 2011 RT. It was pretty nice but the backrest was not removable and there was not much room for a passenger. I went with the Ultimate Tall Boy with the backrest and it is comfortable with good support. I like the quality and comfort so...

    Where do I start

You didn't say where you were at. There is a dealer in Statesville and another just starting their Spyder program in Jesup. I know there are others around Atlanta and Athens. I had not ridden in 30 years when I got mine 2 years ago so the learning curve was a little smaller. GA has a...

    Trying to do my homework

At 6 feet and 300+ I find my 2011 RT very comfortable with some modifications. I have an Ultimate Tall Boy seat which is very nice. Before that I had a BRP comfort seat with a Utopia backrest that was very comfortable but had no room of a passenger. I have had Seal deluxe boards but now use...

Got mine done, too. Best part for me was the ease of turning at slow speeds. I look forward to better handling and tire wear.

Need a hand, electrical system is dead.

Glad you found the problem. Get a good maintainer (different than a trickle charger) and keep it on there when are not riding. Fill your tank and add some Startron or Stabel to deal with the alcohol in the gas.

    Heel-toe shifter

I've had mine for 2 years. It is simple and effective although I did have to trim my Seal Pup floorboards for it to work smoothly. I have no complaints.
