• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions for prepaid SIM card in the US for a Canuk iPhone?

Thanks everyone. I checked with my Canadian carrier (Rogers) and they want $40 to $80 per month for roaming fees in the US, which is insane! I was hoping to just buy a prepaid SIM card in US for my own phone but that doesn't look like its an option. So much for it being a 'world phone'. The...

Any suggestions for prepaid SIM card in the US for a Canuk iPhone?

Hi, I'll be heading from Canada to Colorado in June for the Owner's Event and then again in August, and I want to use my unlocked iPhone without paying the crazy expensive roaming charges from my Canadian provider. Can anyone suggest a good prepaid service I can get? What prices should I expect...

Saw a bike in a stupid accident today (no Spyder content)

Like BajaRon said. Someone unsafe on a bike. May or may not (too often not) be wearing appropriate riding gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saw a bike in a stupid accident today (no Spyder content)

I was headed to work in my cage, stopped at a red light in the middle lane of a 3 lane road (3 lanes each direction) when I saw a squid go past on my left side headed through the intersection on what was a very red light by that time. He never braked or swerved and piled at about 25 mph into...

First start of the season = brake failure message

I'd say that worn brake pads will not throw a warning light. My RT with 16115 km (10000 mi) is in the shop today for a new rear tire and they just called to say the rear pads are very low and should be replaced. I haven't had a warning light since topping off the fluid after it came out of...

    2010 Recall

I have my '10 RT booked at the dealer for a new rear tire and they're replacing the left hand switches on warranty as they're loose on the handle bar. I asked about the recall and they had the notice, so it'll be done as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

My GS was Apollo 11 because of the colour (Full Moon) and I got it around the 40th anniversary of the 1st moon landing. My RT is Mojo because of it's magic powers ;)

    Mounting a Zumo up high

With the sun full on it, sure there is glare -- but that's really only early or late in the day, so I ride to the east in the morning and into the sunset at the end of the day... :ohyea:

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Sorry but I don't remember the bolt length. There's zero shake and is still snug and rock solid after very nearly 16,000 km which is almost 10,000 miles. I like that position as its high and easy to see without having to drop your head, and not in the line of sight to block anything from view...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

I'm not keen on making holes so I just used a longer bolt in the upper left bolt hole on the dashboard for a RAM mount. The wiring goes through the speaker grill opening back to the battery. Unplugging the analog fuel gauge turns on the digital one in the main cluster, so it doesn't matter that...

    Communication Helmet to Helmet

Same here. AFAIR, the Scala Rider Pro was quite a bit cheaper than the newer Scala systems. It's great as a helmet-to-helmet comm, and connects to my iPhone and my Garmin 660 GPS. Battery life hasn't been a problem in the 2 years and +-25,000 km I've had it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    GPS Options

I like the GPS higher up than where the factory mount location is so I just got a RAM mount and a longer bolt in the upper left bolt hole for the dashboard. The wiring snakes into the left front speaker grill opening and runs back to the battery. Clean and simple and no holes to drill for the...
