• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help for flashing Brake light on RT

You may have to push in on the parts near the passenger handles to get them loose. Here is a video of taking the panels off of an RT, but not sure it shows how to take the rear panel off. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?29642-RT-panels-off-and-on-video

    Shifting into reverse

:agree: I have a 2011 RT-S SE and mine is intermittent. I noticed the day after I had the 3k service done that it shifted into reverse very smooth, but it didn't seem to take long before it went back to the hard shift. It's definitely worth a mention to the dealer and make sure they document...

    RS to RT migraton

I made the switch from '09 GS Manual to a '11 RT-S SE and have never looked back - no regrets at all. I didn't put as much money into it as akspyderman, but I did put over $1,000 into it before deciding that I should just get an RT and be done with it. I do miss the sportiness of the GS in the...

    CB Radio Issues

The J&M CB Antenna comes pre-tuned, so you don't have to have it tuned. I just installed mine over the weekend and haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but hopefully a few of us will get out this weekend and give her a test run. I agree that the CB's certainly could have been A LOT better...

    Phone capability through garmin 660

Anyone know if the interface cable can be used with any Garmin that is bluetooth ready? I have a Nuvi 765 that is bluetooth enabled, but I don't want to invest in the harness and the time to install it if it won't work.

Help! SOS!! Mayday!!! - Elec. issues??? Flat battery???

With the new battery, make sure that when you turn the :spyder2: off, you also power off the Garmin - or disconnect it. A new battery does no good if the same type of loads are put on it. Good luck, ryde safe, and enjoy Spyderfest!

Great RT driver cup holder for $7.00

I have one of these that I mount to the passenger grip (pointing inward so the saddle bag doesn't hit it) and it works well, but I'm curious to know how you have it mounted on the handlebar. Can you post some closer pics and explain how you mounted it and the type of hardware used?

Help! SOS!! Mayday!!! - Elec. issues??? Flat battery???

If you disconnect the Garmin and plug the tender into the wall, does the light on the tender show red? If the Garmin is direct wired to the battery, then it may be pulling power from the battery at a faster rate then the tender can charge it. :dontknow:

    mileage increasing!!!

I have gotten as little as 23MPG to as much as 36MPG. I've found that as long as I can ride without stopping a lot I get better gas mileage. When I use my :spyder2: for commuting (20 mile round trip), I get around 24-26MPG. Lately, some of the weekend rides I've been on have gotten me between...
