• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hello! Just introducing myself

:welcome: With a name like 'Anita' you must be funny, adventurous, generous, kind, loyal, fiercely protective of your loved ones, trusting yet guarded, and just an all-around wonderful person ;) This is coming from another Anita! :p I read your blog and have to say that I admire your...

New products soon to be introduced from Diamond R Accessories!

I understand the reasoning behind it. It would be different if a real teaser were given though; something like "you're gonna love the way these make your feet feel", or "your Spyder will take you even farther than before"....these are teasers where it makes you wonder, are they new...

    CB ant. installation

It's been a couple of months since I replaced my antenna, so I'll try to walk you thru it. Remove the 3 bolts (might only be 2) from within the rear trunk (left side)- this will remove the speaker box from the rear. I believe there is 2, maybe 3 screws, you'll need to remove from behind the...

    Seal Floorboards

I couldn't agree more! It looks like you powder coated your floorboards...? Any issues with your feet slipping when the boards are wet? I'd love to see a full pic of the boards with the :spyder2:. :2thumbs:

    Northern California service centers

There is also another dealer in this area I forgot to mention, Twin Cities Motorsports. They're in Roseville. Their rates are probably comparable to Elk Grove's, but doesn't hurt to give 'em a call. Good luck on finding a new dealer - either of these facilities are A-Ok .

    Northern California service centers

I get my bike serviced at Elk Grove Power Sports, in Elk Grove, and I paid $336. I have a '11 RT-S SE. They also offer a discount if you're an SRA member.

    Extra Storage for RT

I live about 30 miles from where they're made and rode the Spyder there. They installed the adaptor for me. Give them a call, ask for Jerry - he'll get you what you need. If he's not available Bob or Barbara will take good care of you (they are the owners and avid GW riders).

    Warranty help... Two stories..

Since it's BRP who is offering the extended warranty, I would go with what BRP tells you. The Spyder comes with a 2yr factory warranty. You can then purchase an additional 3-4 year extended warranty (non-factory). It sounds like the dealer is trying to sell you something that BRP is giving to...

    Extra Storage for RT

I have the BRP hitch with a Pakit Rak adaptor made specifically for the Spyder. I'm not sure what everything weighs together, but maybe 10lbs or so, if even that much. Here is a closer look at the adaptor, which is fastened to the hitch by the ball. .

    Extra Storage for RT

I recently purchased a Pakit Rak. It has a 25lb weight limit, the bag itself weighs approx 7lbs. I haven't used it yet, but will be using it for my trip to Spyder's in the Redwoods and have high hopes that it will be just what I need in lieu of the trailer. The entire rack can be removed and...

Ram mount on upper console question

I didn't have to remove anything but the two screws on the top of the dash. I then pried the two pieces apart, carefully with a flat blade screwdriver, and stuck a wedge between the two parts to give me enough room to work. I would imagine you can get more space to work in if you remove...

Big difference in price for the 3 Elka shocks available for my 2012 RT Limited

It's all based on your riding style. Most folks install the Stage 1's. I installed the Stage 2's because I enjoy 'spirited' riding in the twisties at times.
