• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Cares, please comment on the new line up.

Well, JC - I ain't you and you ain't me. There are rational reasons 79tooth sprockets were put on the RT models and the European F3T & L models for touring. Even our renowned and respected Lamont of Lamonster Garage has indicated a desire for this and even a 7th gear. You might ask him, "why...

BRP Cares, please comment on the new line up.

This is a rare opportunity for me to address BRP Cares directly - thanks One of my questions/disappointments, which has been discussed ad nauseum and without resolve, is that my 2016 F3T does not have the 79tooth sprocket for touring gearing. The European models do, however, and now, much to my...

    Exhaust Pipe Springs

How did you put the holes in the cat baffle - 1/2" drill bit?

this was just on pitbull power sports page

Exactly what I wanted for my 2016 F3T - wonder if BRP will offer any change-over kits. This has been discussed on other threads over the year, without any resolve. Kinda sad (for me anyhow), as the European F3T & F3L models came equipped with the 79tooth sprocket.

Can Am Passenger Backrest for the F3

Looks really good - exactly what I plan to mount on my F3T, but with a Harley-style Tourpak attached.

F3- New Video of the F4 Windshields

Amen to the 'slider' for the F3T - anyone out there working on that?? Should be an easy project. If no one(BRP or otherwise) comes up with something between now and the next Spyderfest, I'm going to commission my son to design it.

Are you looking through the shield or over it, and by how much (inches)? Thanks, Fritz

F3- New Video of the F4 Windshields

Thanks for the video, Don. On my F3T, the 21" F4 is right at my eye level (201/2"). If you sold me a 19" shield with vent, would the anti-buffeting qualities be effectively reduced for me and my wife? I am wondering if there is someone out there on these forums, who could manufacture a...

Significant progress on talking to CAN Bus on Spyder

"Dead thread"? Kinda like a lot of the threads with questions that go unanswered, unfortunately. This thread brings to mind the decades-old movie "2001, A Space Odyssey", with 'HAL', the computer brain of the spaceship. I feel so helpless on board my beautiful F3T, as though I mustn't piss...

    F3 Backrest ? worth getting

Well, I ordered the Ultimate backrest from Lamonster (talked to Jacob) on Thursday and received it Saturday. Talk about prompt service! I installed it this evening, and look forward to the ride - hopefully, it will clear up the negative aspects of the stock seat.

    Dilemma

Pete - you nailed me on that one - Sorry Tango - I did totally misinterpret the RDL for RTL. Nevertheless, I am still confused as to which way to go. One main gripe for me though, is that BRP did not opt to fit the USA version of the F3T with the 79tooth taller gearing.

    Dilemma

Hey Tango - I have been following you extensively, since you bought your F3L about the same time I purchased my F3T. You seemed so pleased with the ride, the new F4 Custom windshield, etc. I am wondering now, wherein your displeasure lies, that you are considering trading back to the RTL...

    F3 Backrest ? worth getting

I too, am 5'8" and am in dire need of a backrest on my F3T, as I posted in another thread yesterday on 'seats'. My debate is between the stock BRP and the Ultimate(Lamonster sells it, but with an easier-to-install bracket). $294 for the Ultimate and about $460 for the BRP. Question for me...

    Another Seat Question

Speaking of backrests, I am badly in need of one and am debating between the Ultimate driver's backrest and the BRP - $294 for the Ultimate from Lamonster and $460 for the BRP. Has anyone had experience with both, to compare? I'm hoping a backrest will be a cheap fix, as the F3T seat is killing...

    F4 Custom F3Limited Review

Yeah, that is exactly what we have reverted to - using the green Moldex PuraFit plugs. Wife likes them, as riding all afternoon in 90+ Temps at highway speeds without them, literally wore her out and gave her a splitting headache. As for me, the plugs work well, but I feel somewhat isolated in...

    F4 Custom F3Limited Review

F4 windshield Hi Tom - I also have an F3t and am debating the F4 shield, though am not sure that I want to look through it. Can you tell me, sitting on your bike, what is the measurement from the seat (at your crotch) to your eye level? My measurement is 29", which has me looking...

New F3 Touring Windshield By F4 Customs

F4 windshield I am also not clear on measurements: 1. Measuring from top of windshield to WHERE? 2. Measuring from seat-bottom (at crotch), to my eyeballs is 29" - what size F4 will allow me to still see above the windshield on my F3T?

    F3T Gearing

Which makes me wonder if it would have been possible to have BRP ship a European-spec'd F3T to Pitbull in Springfield, Mo. Can anyone out there answer that? I have also posted another thread concerning lowering the noise level with baffles - seems to me a higher gear ratio at 70-80mph would...
